Dear NL members it's been a while I wrote about my travels (my sincere apologies) been busy with life....Nysc etc and the devastating losses I encountered. To bring you people to speed i have travelled SA, Namibia, Ethiopia and other countries since I last posted. Today I will be starting a new journey to South Sundan from Maiduguri via Cameroon and chad.


Follow up as I will be posting my life updates gradually.

The first part (when I started recording) was from Jos where I joined a vehicle headed to Maiduguri takes six hours by road through Damtura then finally Maiduguri

Darfur comes to mind, The news says war is ongoing, maybe it's similar to the one in Nigeria, like pockets of wars.
Enjoy ya journey, I'm thinking of something similar by road. Rwanda on my mind.

We moved from Muna Garage in Maiduguri. You have to have your passport and be friendly with everyone cos road can chnage ooo... I changed to cefa two thousand cefa is twenty five thousand naira. I also got water and had someone tie my head gear. When we got to gom we where told we can't pass till nine 9am as that when they open the gate to the town (its close to Mafa ) where hoko haram attacked so you can tell. Attached are random pic

See as north empty. Reminds me of my journey to so many northern states many years ago. Most part of the north is so empty, arid and large you just begin to wonder how these people became so power hungry and how they manage to have this born to rule mentality. Like you wonder where the hell they came from among those emptiness. Road travel is so much fun tho
