Used to enjoy traveling across Naija and neighboring countries during and after my Youth service.

Those that have never travelled would never understand the thrill, fun and education of embarking on such journeys.

Sadly, Insecurity and Terrorism severely damaged and dampened my love for travelling in this country... Such a shame!!!

I know friends that narrowly escaped death while on such "tourism"... Others were not quite fortunate. embarassed

...It's a real shame what the beautiful nation and even continent have become badly reduced to due to Politics of terrorism.

Growing up back then, traveling was a must for anyone serious about understanding and learning... It is a proper form of education.

Shocking to know there are a lot of men and women in Nigeria that have never visited or stayed in more than 2 cities in their country... Smh!

Some of you even brag about being local champions in Lagos, Abuja, Benin, etc... Una no just dey shame.

See as north empty. Reminds me of my journey to so many northern states many years ago. Most part of the north is so empty, arid and large you just begin to wonder how these people became so power hungry and how they manage to have this born to rule mentality. Like you wonder where the hell they came from among those emptiness. Road travel is so much fun tho
u don't wonder why some states in North have better road infrastructures than some so called oil producing states in the south, especially south south, when I see some SS people complaining about other people stealing their oil money, I tell them to better hold their governors responsible, a state like jigawa should not be looking more advanced than bayelsa or delta...... U r right about the emptiness though... I still don't believe we are up to 200 million people in Nigeria.... U can travel for more than 3 hours in Niger state without seeing a significant village or town
