Hey! You asked me a question initially and I gave you an answer. I will NOT be dragged to your level of shallow thinking. NOW get off my mention if you have NOTHING BETTER to say or do on this discussion forum thread other than trying to troll. Matter-of-FACT I'm gonna block you to end your insidious and IRRESPONSIBLE comment.

The Onafowokan family of Ogun State founded Coleman Cables and Wires [the BIGGEST cable manufacturer in West Africa] and now the first to manufacture fiber optic cables for super high-speed Internet access. That's what it is.
💪👍Kudos to them and they Should Keep Their Values and remain the Best in the West Africa 🌍.
Actually, their Wires Are The Most Preferred because of Ingenuity

Indeed, Coleman Cables happens to be ISO certified and of international standard. With the fibre optic cables, those would be of very high standards. A robust private sector is indeed the key for sustainability development of any country.

God has blessed Ogun state with so many investors and the proximity to Lagos is a very crucial advantage.

I just hope the state governor and FG can invest enough in road construction to drive in more investment cos the regular Abeokuta and Ijebu politics isn't helping the state develop.

Most investors going to Ogun state prefer outskirts like Agbara, Ota, Igbesa etc, those are the places they need to pump more money in order to drive in more investments and get more taxes.
A new steel company is also due to launch in the middle of 2026 yet in Ogun state. Ogun is set to soar economically.

The good thing is that the company is owned by a Nigerian and not an Indian or Chinese.

So we have one Onafowokan family in ogun state that is very rich.

I have always maintained that no tribe can match the business and trading prowess of Ijebus and their business is always legit.

If they are from Anambra the shout of money na water and Anambra billionaire will be everywhere

If it's so, I don't think Nigerians would be insulting ancient Egypt, Algeria and Tunisia with all the these their captions of "First in Africa"

The Largest Museum in the world is about to be commissioned in Egypt. Power supply in Egypt is 40,000 megawatts. So, are we saying a country with such a generation does not have Fibre optic factories?

Nigerians can say "first in the subsaharan"
undecided what is this one saying? So you think they must not have done their research before making such claims? Or do those North African country have 2 head or exclusive knowledge of things? You lots are just full of negative energy undecided

Indeed, Ijebu folks who are indigenous to Lagos and Ogun States love to have fun as-and-when due BUT DON'T personally make a noise about their super-wealthy status as international businessmen and businesswomen or as successful professionals.

It's NOT strange at all that the legit Forbes-listed and Bloomberg Billionaires Index-listed USD billionaires of Yoruba origin from Nigeria are 5 famous Ijebus named right BELOW:

Otunba Mike Adenuga from Ogun State, 'Femi Otedola from Epe in Lagos State, Nigerian-American Adebayo "Bayo" Ogunlesi (originally from Sagamu, Ogun State), Tope Awotona of Calendly and Folorunso Alakija from Ikorodu in Lagos State. The Ondo folks of Ondo City and Ijesas ALSO have their super-wealthy folks as well. INFACT all subgroups of the Yorubas such as the Egbas, Ekitis, Igbominas, Ibadan, etc, have extremely wealthy individuals living in various major cities in Nigeria and in the Diaspora.

You're not wrong. The roads in that state is a complete eyesore and their proximity to Lagos is like a curse, they should've leverage on that but hell no.

Many of you don't reason logically to understand that Nigeria is not human being but a nation with a lot of minerals which if tapped on will definitely turn many to billionaires. Nigeria as a nation is blessed and if you don't want her to happen to you then you will go and enslaved yourself in another nation.

All these franchise companies chose south west to site their company because of the proximity to an effective seaport in Lagos, no wonder the Yorubas are always on the defense of Lagos I don't blame them anyway all these to their advantages
But those that own Calabar, ibom, warri and port Harcourt is time to rise up don't allow your slumber get interesting
Hit the FG on anything you have for such gesture to touch your region if really we are one Nigerian to enjoy seaport corridor industries

These are brotherly advice from the igbos
It's time to act

Nigerians are geniuses , irrespective of what people say about this us , the Renaissance of Nigeria rests on their our citizens not foreigners .
Government should support these industrialists by making laws to punish severity those imitating and making substandard products of this companies.
There are lots of substandard Coleman cable , cutix etc on the market and unsuspecting buyers are paying premium for fake products.

Stop been delusional , development should not be centered on the urban centres but the peripheries and this would stop the over population situation in the urban centres.
