You can quote me wrong, but the truth is that the military is not being supported enough regarding the issue of the so-called “repentant” Boko Haram members. The federal government’s decision to pardon and support these bandits has caused more harm than good — it’s leading to the loss of more soldiers and making Nigerians lose faith in the system, especially with the economy in such a bad state.

Some young officers are becoming frustrated, and this could create instability if not properly handled. I pray that the federal government steps up its approach to governing the country. The new generation is not happy with what’s going on. Instead of granting pardons to people who have killed innocent citizens, the government should consider amending the constitution to ensure justice and fairness. Every day, civilians and soldiers suffer — and if this continues, it could lead to serious problems. I just hope the President stays alert and acts wisely before things get worse.
