Funny enough you have forgotten so quickly that it happened at end of the war and was neccessary to avoid any form of embarrassment to the pride of the land of the rising sun. However how about the ones who took NADECO route via Cotonou dressed like mama Iyabo with a tray of Agbo on their heads,to escape the Abacha regime at a time of peace.
Not to even mention the national disgrace as never been seen before, where Yoruba generals arrested for alleged coup plot during Abachas regime were crying like babies on national television. Guy,the joke is on you!

Na for who no know una and una mouth. The military killed and arrested politicians from the west over the years, some even died in incarceration and NOTHING happened. If dem mean your regional tin gods, they’ll go the same way like the others.

My "country people" never cease to disappoint me. As a full pleged Nigerian, how can you be doubting such a story?? Well, the Nigerian experience has taught me never to doubt any negative news concerning the government because there is a pinch of truth it.

The government can deny or remain silent all they want , it does not stop the fact that it actually happened. If you really are a Nigerian and you know how things play out in this country , you wouldn't doubt this. I won't be surprised in few years time, someone from this current government will come out to finally say the truth.

The only semblance of history about a certain ethnic group is the one told by Mr Chinue Achebe in his fictional work - Things Fall Apart. Achebe's Okonkwo was the only 'recorded' brave man from that ethnic group. It's equally well documented that this particular ethnic group was dominated and enslaved by all their immediate neighbours- the Ijaws,Itshekiris,Binis and Igalas. While this was going on,the Yoruba progenitors were expanding their land,through wars and conquests,right from the shores of Nigeria and beyond!
