I watched a video of the senior prefects( male and females of some selected secondary school in Ibadan) relishing the responsibility they handle in their respective schools at present and had a reminiscence of my time too back then.THROWBACK; "Which Prefect Position Did You Hold In Primary Or Secondary School?" 4 Likes

 Primary school - none but I was a member of my primary school literary and debating society and then, the young farmers club. Class captain JSS 2-3. Then being a perfect in SSS( laboratory & assembly prefect in charge of JSS 2 classes) afforded me the privilege to have a taste of what leadership was all about. I was given Assembly prefect back then in secondary school (SS1 - SS3) Innocent me back then would lead the whole school high praise, worship and prayers. I was the life of our assembly, I just laugh each time I remember my secondary school days. Well, I’m still the innocent me, I haven’t gone astray. 15 Likes |

None because I didn't want to. I wore sandals without socks and refused to tuck my shirt in when I was called to the principal's office for interview. They disqualified me and didn't know I went out to celebrate. Being a prefect would've robbed me of the chance to cut oranges from the school's orchard and maize from the school farm 😂😂😂😂 And yes, I laugh my silly self to hiccups anytime I remember those days. Plus... We were sneaking out to the local market to drink palmwine during school hours. I knew they would've debadged me anyways, so I just decided it was best to not take any post.. And all my friends did the same. The principal later realised what we did and tried to impose prefectship on us but it didn't work. One of my guys was even made "general prefect" in a bid to try to control us. It was so adventurous and memorable! 2 Likes 1 Share |
