Make dem calm down small. Tinubu and his people will start taking actions. The threat of stopping aids is enough to make them sit right.
You mean the aid they end up looting?

Anyway, I agree they will definitely sit up. Our military might spring into real action now to impress Trump.

.......again, no big deal in it. We have a Foreign Affairs Minister by the way. I guess you all forget that even Ambassadors report to Foreign Affairs Minister?!

If there is any need for diplomatic engagement, we have a competent head to deal with it, so no vacuum left unfilled at the moment.

It's disturbing when you see tweets of ex soldiers alleging they were punished too many Boko Haram terrorists. Then just last Sahara reporters was breaking the news that some soldiers are actually not happy working with ex boko haram members drafted into the army.

Nigerian goveenment needs to undo some of these things and give the impression the state is not in bed with these terrorists. Tinubu just needs to wake up and do away with some of the unreasonable legacies of the Buhari's government he has been letting slide for the past 2 years.

They should also do away with the narrative of downplaying terrorism as mere "farmer-herders clash". Like how can they continue to claim.it is farmer-herders clash and you see assault rifles and RPGs with only the herders. We've never seen any picture or video of farmers going about with such sophisticated weapons.

......Trump threatened South Africa more than, even Musk put mouth join. Wetin happen after?! LOL!

If you think US will attack Abuja and unseat the President, check your brain, it ain't gonna happen. If US bomb terrorists' enclaves in the North, its PBAT's again.

Afterall, we will all eventually agree, terrorism totally killed off under his watch and history will never forget him.

80% of Nigerians do not know about this stuff una dey carry for chests and dey fret about, though some are rejoicing over it. LOL!

Shiekh, nobody is saying Trump is unseating your principal, all people are saying is since he's not proactive about the issue, the involvement of POTUS will push him to work towards reducing terrorism.

Moreover, he spoke against this same thing some years back when he was in the opposition, so why is he not doing something about this?

Peace

......LOL! We all know what we are doing. Terrorism didn't start under his Administration and he has done far better than his predecessors to tackle it.

I guess some of you are never following activities of the NA, coz its obvious. Once again, I have no issue with US support, if they wanna come in and help wipe out those modafvckers, why not?!

I have said it many times already and will keep saying it. No one denies there is insecurity in the country and every support to end it should be accepted and celebrated.

Agreed 100%.

However, someone like DJ chicken should've had his drivers license suspended a long time ago and anytime he's caught driving law enforcement should arrest him.

The number of times DJ chicken has hit other people's vehicle or bike men ehn.... I think he probably drives under influence most times sef.

Military contracts are not like buying a dress in a mart, those contracts were probably signed 6 years before and delivery staggered across multiple years.

That these assets arrive now does not mean his administration did the heavy lifting...
As GCFR the buck stops at his table....... demand more from your security chiefs or use the hire and fire approach shikena.
The citizens don't care for optics, they just want results.

A picture that depicts the level of confidence an average Nigerian has in the current government's competence in keeping them safe.

PDPGuy:
I’m also afraid that any U.S. military intervention in northern Nigeria would only worsen the security situation and create even more socio-economic upheaval as we all saw in Libya, Iraq, Syria etc
As with all things, any intervention has pros and cons.

The major con is that Western intelligence and security actions are not perfect or infallible.
Innocent travelers in an interstate bus or an innocent Nigerian family in their car may get droned.
Days ago, Democratic senators asked the US military to provide the ID of the 61 alleged traffickers they've killed off the coast of Venezuela. The officers said they don't have their IDs. They don't know the identity of the people they killed.
Attend the wrong wedding, eat at the wrong restaurant, be at the wrong bus stop and one can become a victim.
Executive action will also not be restricted to active battlefields. Strikes could occur in urban areas to target high ranking members and financiers of the groups who live fairly normal lives and put everyone who know nothing about their evil activities in danger.

The problem of course is that the Nigerian elite and security establishment has treated this issue with kid gloves.
Ideally, this spurs them to take decisive action.
If not, this will become a debate about weighing the risks of innocent Nigerians getting caught up in the intervention versus the certain number of innocent Nigerians who will continue to be murdered as has been happening for years if there is no intervention.

That's to say nothing about the global terror network funneling more resources to Nigeria or the instability of the polity that could lead to coups as power brokers trade blames or seek to exploit the upheaval.

This is by no means cut and dry.
Nigeria has so many dangerous fault lines that we could start with trying to end the killings and end up as Sudan.

Nigerians are killed by terrorist almost on a daily basis, Kwara State was under regular attack but your President did nothing nor even said anything about the killing. A little coup rumour (or maybe true) and he quickly sack Service Chiefs, shows he doesn't care about the people but himself...
