Are Christians Dying in Nigeria due to insurgency? Yes as a matter of fact they are, But I believe it is not the "premeditated genocide" as the media pronounces it.

Nigeria has the most church buildings destroyed in the world, and also a high number of attacks on Christians in worship centers. Now looking at these facts as an outsider, the conclusion instantly drawn is that Nigeria is no safe place for christians, or proof of genocide(which is true). But it is very necessary to understand that these are symptoms of the insecurity that has plagued Nigerians since the APC set its sight on power as a matter of fact more mosques and Muslims have suffered in comparison to christians besides fewer christians recide in the areas of interest than muslims.. (i believe anybody that ignores this fact is a hypocrite)
My conclusion is this, Yes Christians, are getting killed by extremist. But It's not the "premeditated genocide story" that Trump is spinning...

One thing I have got to understand about the whole quagmire of President Donald Trump designating Nigeria on the list of "countries of concern" is that the dual factors of Religion" and "ethnicity" are the key pulling powers influencing Nigerians

So sad to see that the double-edged sword of "Religion and Ethnicity" has swallowed "Nationalism" in Nigeria.

It won't take a major power more than 6 months to destabilize Nigeria if they want to.. The seeds of religion and ethnic division have already been sowed into the fabric of this nation, just some few light weeding and some irrigation is needed and they would been an abundant harvest of chaos and anarchy

The killings in Nigeria by BH and co are more of ethnic cleansing rather than a genocide but you can't take away the fact that Christians are not safe in the core northern Nigeria

Take this for example: Despite all the killings in Nigeria since the time of GEJ, southern Kaduna remained a safe place until the last tenure of El Rufai. We all know that southern Kaduna is majorly made up of Christians. What happened in southern Kaduna is better left unspoken about.

One way or the other, Trump is right!!!

I am wondering why ethnic cleansing does not legally fulfil the definition of genocide. Honestly to me, it looks like a lacunae.

Genocide is defined to be the systemic and deliberate killing of a particular group with a view to eliminating them........ this definition stricto sensu doesn't say the group has to be a religious group.

by the way, I want to ask you a question do you classify the killing of christians in the northern Nigeria as genocide.

It's very clear you have drawn a line like many Nigerians have but not everything is personal this is a general issue, instead of arguing would come if everyone works together.

There is a reason why I brought southern Kaduna into the matter. Without what happened in southern Kaduna, I wouldn't classify the killing of Christians in northern Nigeria as a genocide. I mean, it hasn't gotten to the scale of a genocide.

What happened in southern Kaduna was ethnic cleansing, and ethnic cleansing speaks a lot of volume about genocidal intent.

By the way, can you suggest a better way to do it? Don't come with all those arm your national army and provide weapons for your army. If your army is not considered a serious one, or indications point to many saboteurs within it, they are very right to believe that their weapons will eventually end up in the hands of the same terrorists they are supposed to be used against.

The best way to help us out is to sanction the government officials where it hurts and coordinate with our military while watching out for saboteurs. If they can do that, even if they steal 'our' resources, then good. But I am personally not going to fool myself with that belief.
