Very interesting book those years as a kid. My kids are still using it. David versus Goliath story was my favourite.

Remembering how the sovereign lord Jehovah parted the red sea so that his people can walk on a dry land .

My book of Bible story,a masterpiece,this book was the foundation of our Bible knowledge growing up,it's really interesting reading it .

If i had listened to what outsiders were saying about the organization i wouldn't have left my former religion to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses so my advice for you is to think deeply about Jesus' comments regarding his true disciples.

As for the pictures that's what God wanted right from the beginning animals were created as pets for humans there was no predator in Eden until Adam and Eve sinned.
So also when Noah was gathering animals into the Ark all the animals turned into straw eaters.
That's what God intended right from the beginning of creation!

The wolf will reside for a while with the lamb, And with the young goat the leopard will lie down, And the calf and the lion and the fattened animal will all be together; And a little boy will lead them. The cow and the bear will feed together, And their young will lie down together. The lion will eat straw like the bull.  The nursing child will play over the lair of a cobra, And a weaned child will put his hand over the den of a poisonous snake.  They will not cause any harm Or any ruin in all my holy mountain, Because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah As the waters cover the sea. Isaiah 11:6-9
