Vance is slated to attend the G20 in stead of Trump. If Tinubu would attend the summit, it means there's still some credibility to that initial report about Tinubu meeting with JD Vance. Personally, I like the fact that the US is putting the frighteners on the Tinubu administration. The fact that they are so riled up and are desperate to have talks with The White House is definitely a something to take pleasure in. Nigerians have been crying out for military intervention from the FG over the persistent terrorist and banditry attacks. It has all been crickets from the FG. All it took is for the US president to lord his country's might before the FG could get its act together. On the other hand, I doubt Trump would actually carry on with the 'invasion' regardless of how tough he sounds. Trump rode on the principle of isolationism to get elected. What he's threatening runs against that principle. So he might as well just be blowing hot air. |

Fools commenting as if Nigeria cares about them, have you ever wonder why South Africa is holding G20 meeting in Durban, world leaders don't gather in anyhow country. The kind of mentality we have will keep Nigeria in darkness for long especially the way we talk about some corrupt officials. |

BreconHills:There's nothing like "what Tinubu is receiving is carte blanche to take off the gloves and go full steam against the terrorists with no human rights considerations". It's absolute balderdash and you know it. Tinubu is too weak and too cowardly to truly decimate these terrorists, probably because they're the ones who put him in power |

Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe leads the Catholic Diocese of Makurdi. On February 14, 2024, he testified before the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa. His focus was the genocidal persecution of Christians in Nigeria's Middle Belt, especially in Benue State. On March 12, 2025, he returned to testify again, joined by Reverend Father Remigius Ihyula. Together, they described systematic massacres carried out by ethnic Fulani jihadists against Christian farming communities. Their accounts included kidnappings, church burnings, and land seizures. Bishop Anagbe reported that over 1,000 Christians had been killed by these jihadists in recent months. He noted that more than 160 churches were destroyed in the last decade, and vast areas of land owned by Christian victims were taken over by the jihadists, with little response from the government. Bishop Anagbe accused the Nigerian government of maintaining a “conspiracy of silence” to facilitate an “Islamic agenda” aimed at Islamizing the region. Following his testimony, both he and Father Ihyula received multiple death threats, reportedly from government sources and Islamist groups. In April 2025, foreign embassies, including the U.S., warned that Bishop Anagbe might face arrest upon returning to Nigeria. The Nigerian Foreign Ministry denied any involvement but promised to investigate the threats. From May 24 to 26, 2025, Fulani jihadists attacked Bishop Anagbe’s home village of Aondona, killing at least 42 people, with some reports suggesting more than 70 fatalities, displacing hundreds in the process. Many viewed this as retaliation for his testimony in the U.S. Congress. Between June 1 and 13, 2025, coordinated attacks by Fulani jihadists in Gwer West and Apa counties, particularly in Yelwata near Makurdi, resulted in the brutal deaths of over 300 individuals, including men, women, and children, with many victims burned alive. Security agencies had been alerted weeks prior to these attacks. It's noteworthy that the government led by a Muslim president and vice president has not prosecuted any Fulani jihadists for these acts of genocide. The situation escalated after attacks in Jos, which left over 271 Christians dead. The jihadist leader held a press conference, seen in a video shared by a government-affiliated station, demanding conditions for halting the violence. One of these demands was the removal of a senior military commander responsible for peacekeeping in Plateau. Remarkably, that commander has since been removed from his position. The government acquiesced to the jihadist's demands. I challenge anyone to verify the claims made here. There is an ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria, with government complicity evident. Arguments suggesting that some Muslims are also affected do not lessen this reality, as those Muslim victims were often killed by fellow Muslims. There is no record of a predominantly Muslim community suffering the same targeted violence as that seen in southern Kaduna, Benue, and other areas of the Middle Belt.

The usual suspects, among Nigerians, who lack patriotism are fanning the embers of destruction. Trying to drag Nigeria to the slab of destruction in a dangerous geopolitics that they don't understand. World Powers are not friends with anyone aside from their interests in the resources of target countries. Look at how they destroyed Syria, Iraq, Libya... and how they are pawning Ukraine against Russia. But you guys are there always gaslighting your government thinking the world powers will come and save you. Tueh. You make your money in Nigeria, but you so much hate Nigeria. What a hypocrite you are?! |

BreconHills:I like your deep insight in the whole drama. When we tell them that Tinubu has Orisa that think for him, many ignore his extraordinary smartness. Tinubu want to decimate the terrorist, but reports from the DIA and DSS show top politicians from the North are complicit. He discovered that there are limits to what the service chiefs can do. He knows the implication of direct massacre which the north and opposition will term abuse of human right. He involved certain CIA agent and leak his plan to them, those one convince Trump of the willingness but limitations. Trump roll out the first plan, the fire is returned by the North, Tinubu pretend to align with the North, subtly inviting the US to hit the ground The US are here and Tinubu will quickly execute his plans. He leaves the war for the US while he quickly implement his reforms. 1. State police 2. Ban of grazing 3. Support establishment of ranches. By the time he is rounding up his tenure, he has completely quench the Fulani invasion with wit. Please dont quote me if you can't relate, especially 3rd class graduates should keep off |
