I don't know why everything in Nigeria is about money, I was not surprised when I heard that number of persons affected with HIV AIDS have increased in Adamawa state.

I visited general Hospital Numan, in Adamawa state to conduct HIV AIDS test but they asked me to pay and even in Taraba State the same issue.

Please is this issue of payment to know one status is approved by government or just corruption?.

Please share your own experience.

A very Disgraced country . USA was funding alot of things for free in nigeria . Since they withdrew their aids ,and our leaders do not really care , citizens are once again left on their own .

Where are the Nigerians criticizing USAID? It’s crazy that the same people criticizing USAID will come out to wail when its repercussions come up. You guys do not want US opinions in Nigeria affairs but you want its money.

Nigerians often seek free things. The government spends a lot on HIV awareness and prevention, but people ignore it. You engage in unprotected sex, seeking free STD tests and antiretroviral drugs. You dey nack raw and you expect government to take full responsibility of your recklessness. This is a contradictory mindset that neglects personal responsibility.

I went to a government hospital in Osogbo and I was approached by a lady to take HIV test and the only thing I bought was gloves.

They might be taking advantage of them because the rate is rampant over there.

I'm not supporting the government, bit why would you expect the test to be free, if everything is free, how do you expect them to pay the doctors who work day and night and other medical practitioners like the science lab people...

Abeg carry yourself go private hospital go do the test and do it for free...

In my place of work, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, NAUTH Nnewi, it is 2k per HIV test
