⚡Mazda, Renault, Mercedes-Benz and Hyundai sold their assets to Russian firms for symbolic amounts and agreed options to purchase them back within several years.

Mazda is the first to lose its buyback rights.

These factories are mostly operated by Russia and China jointly.

⚡The Federal Government will end the sale of tickets in dollars by foreign airlines, soon, according to the President of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies (NANTA), Yinka Folami.

The Agencies’ president described the cross-border trading in foreign currency as “a crime against the economy.”

I pray Trump keeps provoking the Nigerian elites.

It'll push us closer to Russia and BRICS.

Might start trading in other currencies. A big win for us if you ask me.

You have said it all, though I share the view that Nigeria needs external pressure on this matter.

Insecurity has become a lucrative issue members of the Nigerian government, and we as the citizens have failed to give them a befitting reaction. People have revolted and chased out presidents for far less serious problems, but we choose to rely on social media cries and prayers.

What's happening in Nigeria is beyond 'Christians are being killed' or 'more Muslims are being killed than Christians.' This is something that has consumed over 100,000 lives and billions of naira have been flushed down for nothing. Contrary to whatever your beliefs are, no innocent life is more precious than the other.

An intervention is seriously needed even if the intervening party only focuses on certain communities. But America will be the last country to throw bombs with the sole intention of protecting negro lives in a shithole country. They know better than everyone how slow and grueling it is to take out insurgents and they're not going to push their heads into that mess for some noble reasons. All these threats are either meant to secure unfair, humiliating deals or as you have suggested, to keep the MIC funds flowing by arming their jihadist foot soldiers to worsen the situation for everyone.

Expecting a US intervention to improve your country (or save Christians) is like expecting a lawyer that has lost 135/140 cases to keep you off death row. The idea only sounds sweet to the ear because of our desperate situation, but their CV in that regard is just too horrible.

They should pressure the government if they are sincere but anything beyond that is a big no for me.
I agree. Well they've gotten Tinubu's attention and he's requested to meet with Trump in SA. We'll know what their requests are then. Most likely an unfair trade deal or something- a military base is a no-no every right thinking Nigerian must rise against. Whatever it is Nigeria must not become a stooge or vassal. Kenya's Ruto is already being a good lapdog and I so pity him eh. He forgets what's happening in Sudan can get to him too, for now he's allowing himself to be used for the West and UAEs nefarious interest.

And like you said, the Nigerian government has to deal decisively with the insurgency problem. I prefer a partnership with the Sahel states Mali, Niger and Co which are also facing the same problem and not the US who is the sponsor behind all of this and just wants to sell weapons.

Personally I think it's time the rest of world ganged up and armed themselves against US imperialism. The empire is on the decline. A sinking ship trying to hold onto others to stay afloat. We need to start calling their bluff. Trade amongst ourselves (so they can rest with their yeye sanctions) and back each other up militarily when they come calling

⚡“We’ve practically lost Pokrovsk already — which means there’s no point in trying to hold Myrnohrad either,” says Vitalii Deineha, former adviser to the Ministry of Defense and head of the “Come Back Alive” foundation.

He insists that an immediate order to withdraw troops from Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad is needed; otherwise, Ukraine risks losing a “significant number” of its most 'highly motivated paratroopers and marines'.

⚡Iraq's PM: Weapons can’t be fully controlled while US-led coalition remains.

Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani said today that while Iraq is committed to bring all weapons under state control, it will not be possible while a US-led coalition remains in the country.

“There is no ISIS. Security and stability? Thank God it's there... so give me the excuse for the presence of 86 states (in a coalition)," he told Reuters.

He added, "Then, for sure there will be a clear program to end any arms outside of state institutions. This is the demand of all," noting that factions could join official security forces or enter politics by disarming.

When asked about growing pressure on groups such as Lebanon's Hezbollah to disarm, Shia said, "There is time enough, God willing. The situation here is different than Lebanon.”

"Iraq is clear in its stances to maintain security and stability and that state institutions have the decision over war and peace, and that no side can pull Iraq to war or conflict."

People have mastered a way to hide their love for terror under the guise of "one Nigeria ".

One of the sole responsibilities of government is to protect lives and properties.

Anything to stop the killing is a welcome development.

Reading through this thread one can feel the pains roaring through the pages. Majorly from two sect of people.

1) from the Muslims/jihadist communities - its primarily driven by two things 1. The fact that another brutal sect is coming to give them a dose of the oppression they've been ditching out to the Christians in their midst over the years and the possible massive fallout of instability/set back on its Islamic agenda
2. The fear of the collapse of the current economical/political structure, being broken down against their wish vis-avis the disintegration of the country.

2) from the Christians and southern brethrens - the current drain-bound system the country is currently helplessly entangle with as a trap, regrettably very painfull towards national existence.. sharing a country with these kinds of humans will continue to be costly both in human life and social development to those in it's area of its operations. No sane human who still draws breath currently living in this country either as a Christian or a southerner should find it hard supporting trump and the US for this cosmic mission.. No matter the outcome thereafter it can never be worse than it already is. Let those who wants to Operate its sharia operates it far from the rest, form new caliphate, create more laws and govern itself as it like but never to dictate or drag others along.. W're all very tired sharing a country with this animal thinking creatures, they're egocentric, very entitled and nomadic in nature.

#Let the US come already. Alot don't care what goes in their coming.!!

They still remain a party full of terrorists till today, and don’t think I will ever support the APC government. I hated them before, and I will continue to hate them. But seeing some of you openly canvassing for a U.S. invasion of Nigeria is something I will never support, because we all know what U.S. interventions usually lead to. Have you ever seen any U.S. intervention that brought lasting peace anywhere? They are welcome to cooperate with the Nigerian government to flush out terrorists, but not for Trump or anyone else to disrespect us by threatening invasion as if we are a vassal state to the U.S. Go to Twitter and Facebook you will see how some ignorant fools are calling for the invasion of their own country as if the U.S. were an angel. A U.S. invasion would only lead to disaster for the average Nigerian.
oga fem there are we united as a Nigerians? Because external force have come in you one to form one Nigeria show us your real face terrorist undecided

Khan Younis militia leader Hossam al-Astal burned a Hamas flag in a live Facebook video, declaring “Hamas is finished” and denying the group’s claims of arresting his men or seizing weapons.
Operating along the IDF-adjacent “Yellow Line,” his clan—hostile to Hamas—has re-emerged amid the terror group’s weakening grip, following recent clashes where IDF strikes killed Hamas fighters attacking local compounds.

Thank you. That's the responsibility of government, protecting lives & properties. In the US, the guy who killed Charlie Kirk was arrested and immediately they're prosecuting the case in the court. That's how a State with a working police, judiciary, and justice system behave.

Not seeing VP deleting their tweet, police telling us that those arrested have escaped custody.

🇺🇦🇷🇺There's no encirclement in Pokrovsk, and it turns out Mikolaj can only get out through a narrow channel, like in Sudzha.

And they're still lying to the population, "feeding them shit."

There's so much whining and hysteria in the Ukrainian Armed Forces that it's never been like this before. Did something happen?😅

🇷🇺🇫🇷 During his stay in Paris in 1717, Peter I was supposed to pay a visit to the seven-year-old French king, Louis XV. The French did not want to give the first place to the Russian Tsar and arranged the meeting so that both during the encounter and in all ceremonies their king would take the first place.

When Peter arrived at the royal palace, he was greeted by ministers, marshals, and court representatives, and the young king stood on the porch. Considering it impolite to walk ahead of the king and at the same time not wanting to walk behind a child, much to the great annoyance of all courtiers, Peter I took the little king in his arms and, after kissing him three times, entered the staircase with him, saying: "In my hands is all of France!"

🇺🇦 In Ukraine, a 15-year-old schoolboy joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to "play CS in real life." The boy seems to have decided that war is like a computer game.

Now, instead of a monitor and keyboard, he faces artillery shelling and kamikaze drone attacks. According to the media, the Armed Forces did not try to dissuade him.

🇺🇦🇷🇺Former Deputy Defense Minister Deynega decided to tell the truth about the situation in Pokrovsk and that if the garrisons are not withdrawn from Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will lose not only the already lost cities, but also trained marines and paratroopers.

"If someone doesn't sign an order to withdraw troops from Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad soon, we may find ourselves in a situation where we not only lose a significant number of highly motivated paratroopers and marines (I won't even mention the hundreds of millions of dollars' worth of property—it's lost and there's no chance of evacuating it). We may find ourselves in a situation where there's no one to patch the hole in the front, and the fortifications we've dug up in our rear will quickly fall to the enemy," Deynega wrote.

According to him, the General Staff's reports "consist more and more of lies with each passing day."

"In fact, we've already practically lost Pokrovsk, which means there's no point in holding Myrnohrad either (logistics will only be limited to inadequate risk and fields). And I'm not giving away any big secret—the Russians can see this perfectly well from their drones in real time. This needs to be documented, and those who refuse to leave without orders need to be rescued," Deynega wrote.
