Keep 3.5m for business and try manage less than 1.5m to settle yourself with family.
Call your wife, ask about what she's good at if you don't have any business or professional you can Venture into, manage the business with her, you guys should cut your coat according to your sizes. In less than two yrs you'll smile.

Many people here are into shady business or affiliate with fraud, don't fall to their advice. You are not getting younger. You won't like it to keep paying children sch fees at age 70plus. Follow your decision

It all depends if you want to impress the public or live for yourself.

Do not do any wedding ceremony, just pay brideprice and satisfy traditional rite and move on. If you must celebrate, do it later or like in a parlous settings. That should not be more than 1.5-2M Naira.

Then proceed to think of a business that you can use the rest for. The business should be something that brings return everyday, like logistics and food for example.

Hopefully your wife is hardworking and can assist, but with 5M, you are starting from a very reasonable position.
Very reasonable post but watch Nigerians tell you how that money can't do anything: some of which have not seen 1 million naira in their life time.

Our braggadocio and classicism will make someone think we're very rich. grin

Use 500k from the money, get an international passport, migrate to any West Africa or Central African countries. Keep 2m in Treasury bills and use 2m to buy Nigeria made goods while migrating. You can go to Aba, buy senator clothes materials of different types, give it to Aba tailors to sew for you. 2m will give you upto 50 pieces of senator materials, migrate with it to Doula Cameron and thank me later

That's over enough....the problem is that you just can't jump into business ...why don't you keep that money, eat the humble pie and go and learn some business for about 6 months and don't go looking for a girl of 25 yrs ..look for matured lady from 30+ that will key into your vision

It's not late! It's all about attitude and remove the looking for job mentality and start seeing yourself as someone that can create value

Buy a decent car for 4milllion and start e hailing taxi business. Use the remaining 1million to pay rent and get food at home. Work for 6months and save up 500k, use the money to marry your woman in a very low key wedding. Make sure your woman also works and earns well. Y'all good to go.

Use about 4 million to buy a new keke, complete all the papers and licensing, and drive it yourself. I don’t know what state you’re in, but I’ve heard that keke drivers usually remit around ₦15,000 per day to the owners, so I’m sure you can even make more since you’ll be driving it yourself.

Take good care of it, maintain it properly, and after about six months, you can go ahead and get married; there’s no need to keep waiting. If you’re diligent and hardworking, I believe that within two years you should be able to buy another keke and put it on hire. It provides steady income, and many young people are doing well with it.

OP start a small medium business , do ur research they are lots of profitable business with at least 2 million and you can make good profits from if ur not lazy , look for a decent girl that's is hardworking preferably from the village and settle down , start with a one bedroom in low cost housing area , forget about having children for now.
When ur business is successful, start another business , make sure ur wife too is working. once you have at least 3 stable sources of income, u can start having children.

1st make sure any woman you want to marry share same interest with u and if she's business orientated thank God so you can start okirika business for her, she goes to Arena buy bail of children assorted cloths and during cold she should change to children joggers and joggers top and hoodie.

And for you, don;t do elaborate weeding/marriage to start with, don;t live in expensive house more than 300/350k self contained, don't go into any business you don't understand or have good knowledge about and i will suggest some for you but will also like to know what kind of business you like.

If you can get a shop go into cosmetics, body cream/lotion, assorted bathing soup, perfume etc
theres money too in food if you can
Have a portion of money saved in RTN it will yield you interest just incase you need to expand more in whatever whatever business you will be doing

2. Start a printing press business,
2a. Get a tokunbo german DI machine(#800k to #900k)
b. get 6feet banner and sav Printer (#2m to 2.5m)
c. Get Black and white photocopier/printer machine(#100k plus)
d. Paper cutter/heat laminator/binder/ id card machine/ (#250k)
e. Laptop/Inkjet for photos(#350K.......The accessories like paper, pin, sav, banner, etc (#300k)......total (##3.8million u are good to go)...
....u will spend nothing less than #4million to start ur own printing press to branding company.
.....2 years later then get married.
......Demography ur target should be primary and secondary schools to collect contract, Offices and shops that issues recepit to customers.
.....And customer service should be ur number 1 priority.

Do you want to get married or start a business? It can be enough to do any of them, but not both of them. I think you should forget marriage for now. Start a business, grow it for, like, 3 years, build some profit, take out of the profit after a few years to marry, and keep doing your business to take care of your family and invest further.

Use that money, give yasef half a decade or more and build something out of ya life.

Today's Nigeria no dey friendly to anybody's pocket. You'll be drained by financial responsibilities alone (before we talk about others) and you'll want ya woman to contribute and if she can't due to whatever reason, resentment fit go enter, either you go begin resent her for not contributing financially or she go begin resent you for being useless and stressing her. I know some old girls or boys wey dey regret getting married today. Na so reality be o. Very few are lucky to meet a good woman or man.

Because, how else you wan call a person wey dey patient with you even in lack?

My own good girl died early back in the days, and I've never encountered another woman like her. Sometimes, I'm tempted to believe there's one woman for every man. That one and my Royal Self, na real two sides of a coin....
