LordAdam16:
Nigeria is currently a failed state.

We must either seize this opportunity to marshal our resources to confront this menace ourselves or an intervention is necessary.
Inaction is not an option.

Because that is their plan.
They hope to hold a few meetings with the Americans. Offer them some lucrative oil/mining contracts and rights.
Then do nothing and wait for Trump's 3 years to be over.
While tens of thousands of Christians are killed annually for the foreseeable future.

Nigeria is not worth the annual sacrifice of 5,000+ Christians.
That is my line in the sand.

You want sovereignty to be able to sentence Christians to death for standing their ground while allowing herders to go scot free after butchering farmers. What useless sovereignty!
They are coming for our resources. Is it the same resources you are using to strike deals with bandits and train "repentant" terrorists that have murdered Christians? Where was it decreed that Nigerian resources can only be used to sustain a system where a Christian girl is burned alive in broad daylight and the killers recorded themselves on video holding the match and they are walking free today.

Anyone preaching unity should take several seats.
We've had unity for the past six decades and more Christians keep dying every year.
We've gone from occasional religious riots and ethnic clashes to near daily pogroms.
I don't want to hear any empty platitude anymore.
I want to see action. If we are one, prove it by ending the menace. No dey wyn me!

THANK YOU!

When Christians were slaughtered, they kept quiet! They NEVER condemned the killing and roasting of Deborah. Suddenly, everyone is preaching love and lights!

I pray Trump keeps provoking the Nigerian elites.

It'll push us closer to Russia and BRICS.

Might start trading in other currencies. A big win for us if you ask me.
Those fools would rather grovel and give USA whatever it wants. We are talking abour people that wanted to fight Niger on behalf of whites. They'd rather sell the country than to offend them

This right here is the truth. If the Americans are sincere, they will impose sanctions targeting these fuulish leaders and their families, and not on we ordinary citizens. For more effect, they should even extend those sanctions to third-party countries so that our so-called leaders cannot go there either.

The sanctions should cover those who lead us along with their nuisance supporters that make very careless ethnic and religious statements. Garba Adamu and the other Ahmed Bashir or whatever he calls himself should be the first to eat that sanction. They have crossed all boundaries crossable.

But as usual, the US will never do that and are only riding on the sentiments that we created ourselves to get what they want.

Once Tinubu shows up in Washington and strikes a deal with them, they will keep quiet about the whole thing until they need more resources and then repeat the cycle and will keep quiet once again once they get what they want.

If our leaders can do it repeatedly and get away with it, then the US can do it and get away with it too.

And when our leaders get tired of being thrown around by the Americans, they will be encouraged to pass and enforce laws criminalizing ethnic and religious sentiments made by politicians.

But I know it will take them a while to get to that point where they pass such laws because ethnic and religious sentiments is what got them into power in the first place.

The idiot called Buhari famously rode on Fulani superiority sentiments and we saw the consequences, particularly during the 2011 elections. Later as president, the same Buhari openly and confidently went on to refer to Igbos as a dot in circle. Imagine talking about a major ethic group that way. If he could say that in public, then heaven knows what he says in private.

The same Buhari also violently attacked the unarmed IPOB and Yoruba nation, which forced IPOB to pick up arms, before he hurriedly went on to declare IPOB as terrorists. Meanwhile, the same man dragged his feet on declaring bandits as terrorists and even started a nonsense rehabilitation program for boko haram.

Overall, I have very little trust or faith in the Americans themselves and I do not want them here. They are not genuine. The fact that our leaders are bad does not make the Americans good.

Instead, what we need are foreign PMCs who come in, do their job, take a handsome pay, and get the fvck out. Eeben Barlow from South Africa did a great job around 2014/2015. But the same US sanctioned his company and ensured that Buhari kicked him out. We need someone like him. The government should bring him back. But I am sure the US will go on to sanction him again.

I also learned that some Chinese PMCs are active in Africa. We can explore those too.

Foreign troops, especially Americans, are a no-no. They attract flies. Even worse, their careless methods of bombing everything will create serious divisions in the country. At least the Nigerian government still acknowledges it when it mistakenly bombs people. The Americans won't acknowledge anything. They call it "collateral damage". Case closed.

I won't even encourage Nigeria to turn to Wagner/Afrika Korps because it will just end up becoming another geopolitical struggle. Ukraine openly funded and armed JNIM against Wagner in Burkina Faso. They will do the same here too.

As for our leaders, they are the ones who got us here. Their habit of saying all sorts of BS just to win elections has come back to bite them. It is funny. But we should not be happy.

Is it smart that we citizens cheer and celebrate the fall of our leaders? Nope. Because whatever happens to them will affect us too. And unlike them who can afford to travel out and live a life of luxury wherever they flee to, we here will be stuck in this country.

In all, we must not support the Americans coming here but we must acknowledge that there is a serious ethnic and religious problem in this country and we must find a solution to it.
You said well.

But you last statement is what Apc government will never do. They road to power using ethnic baiting and religion and Tinubu even followed Buhuri footstep. Its very bad.

Nigerians have to unite to find a common ground in dealing with our problem. But where is the unity is a deeply divided nation ?

If America can get anything they like in a deeply divided nation. Is not their fault. The fault lies on Buhuri and tinubu who doesn't know how to run, manage and administer a multi ethnic and religious nation.

One of the best posts summarizing the whole thing

Lately there's been a flood of low quality posts here akin to those on frontpage threads

Regardless of what happens from here on, Nigerians will have to deal with the fallout, whether good or bad
Exactly. It's very comprehensive and well-summarized. I find it repulsive that some people here would choose to colour the whole thing with a religious brush.

Bombs and bullets do not select based on religion and the marauding bastards wiping out villages and communities do not select based on religion. I have fairly traversed the North and I see Christian and Muslim-dominated villages being wiped out.

Let's not make this a religious thing. Let's make it a "stop-killing-Nigerians" campaign. It'll be more effective.

US intervention would NEVER solve our problem, but the signal given by Washington would make the sponsors of those terrorists know that they are being watched. If they actually want to help us, they know what to do, and putting boots on ground is not an option.

Else, the reality of Afghanistan becomes ours and by that time Gbadebo19 and co would have fled to the slums of Liberia or God knows where and the rest of us would be left to bear the ish.

What exactly are you talking about as your point is not coming across clearly?
National Restructuring. Read my second and third paragraph to deduce the points you need.

#If the coming of the US will awaken our leaders and restructure the country on the right path of true nationalism then so be it. The current religious, social and ethnic agitations from the US is because there's so much injustice and total disregard of fundamental human rights, such as right to life and freedom of worship/expression in the system, couple with the fact that most citizens are fade and tired of the kind of governance we currently practice.
In summary, we need to be recolonize as a matter of necessity, after all progress made so far is in the belly of few.

The Trump Government has Tinubu's Government right where they want them and they can obtain whatever concessions they want, however much to the country's detriment as possible

They'll then likely go on to release a generically vague statement about how they're committed to working with Nigeria's Government to curb insecurity and protect all faith based groups and how they're committed to Nigeria's unity and peace

At the end of it all, Nigerians would have been played because the North-South Amalgamation will remain, poor governance will remain, tribalism will remain, the sorry state of affairs will remain, insecurity will remain, the Country will be even less sovereign and Nigerians will be even more divided than they were before

The bad state of affairs will continue because Nigeria has the worst possible makeup as a country. It has both bad leaders and bad citizens, the worst possible hand a country can be dealt

⚡EXPLOSION AT HARVARD MEDICAL CAMPUS - FBI INVESTIGATING.

An explosive device was intentionally detonated around 3 AM inside the Goldenson Building at Harvard’s Longwood Medical Campus in Boston.

Police say two individuals were seen fleeing the scene moments after the blast. The Boston Fire Department Arson Unit confirmed it was deliberate - no other devices found.

The FBI, state, and local authorities are now leading a joint investigation. No injuries reported, but the motive remains unclear.

This isn’t just vandalism - it’s a direct strike at one of the nation’s top medical research centers.

That way they'll be trapped in this hell hole with us, so that when we Nepal or Madagascar them, there will be no where to run to.

Anything other than that na just nonsense. Cuz what makes you think our leaders won't strike a deal with the Americans?

i have distilled my position into two sentences.
the Nigerian government/military should end this menace. If they fail to do so, external intervention is necessary.

i don't want to engage in the ongoing lamba olympics because it is abundantly clear that most northern nigerian muslims are completely fine with the status quo. they would rather tens of thousands of christians (and muslims) die every year as long as the US or any foreign power does not unilaterally intervene.

it is vile witchcraft!

there is no red line. no limits. bh and militias could kill every Christian in the north and they'll keep saying "tHe US intervention wIlL lEaD tO wOrSe CoNsEqUeNcEs".

they know nothing will change internally.
tinubu will not end the menace. when he leaves, kwankwaso or shettima will not solve it. instead they'd add gasoline.
add their time in office together and that is at least 13 more years of tens of thousands of Christians (and Muslims) dying every year.
after trump leaves, who will even draw attention to the killings, not to mention threaten to intervene?
is it Newsom. or AOC. or Putin. or Xi.

so they all know what they're doing when they're so fiercely against unilateral intervention.
these are devious, vile elements that know the killings will continue.
they know our politicians will not end the killings. and they don't want any one from the outside to end the killings.
how else should you decipher that they're okay with the killings.

what is the worst we would do? is it not to complain online or offline.
after complaining, will herders not keep butchering farmers. will militias not keep sacking christian communities.

yet you expect me to turn amala with these ing**tes.
for what?
let's say we should exercise patience for the next 6 years of tinubu and ignore the death of the tens of thousands of christians who will die during his tenure.
can any one of them tell us who exactly from the north we should rally around that would have the wherewithal, capacity, and political will to solve this problem?

True talk, maybe a peaceful separation is the solution. The hate and distrust between tribes is much. Some are saying people are complaining of the senseless killings because their tribe is not in power.

Unless the people in government are your friends or relatives, you are fooling yourself if you think you and your region will benefit from them. The standard of living of a region doesn’t change even when they are in power.

The middle class defend the politicians online while the poor die for them. The top class are all friends, the politicians regardless of party affiliation are all friends. The country is doomed because of the people.

These are the sort of submissions that do nothing but inflame the situation and makes things worse

I understand that there are people in this country who tend to be overly aggressive and forceful inorder to appear to be standing up to a North that has been made to seem by mostly Southern based media, as an overbearing and domineering entity on the rest of Nigeria

This idea that most Northern Muslims are okay with the status quo and want nothing to be done is insulting. Why would a people being killed not want things to change, unless you're making a veiled insinuation that they're in on it?

I'm not going to drag this much so I'll go straight to the point. It doesn't matter if not just the US, but the entire collective West comes in, without the co-operation of the Northern Muslims, nothing will be solved. America was only able to dismantle al-qaeda in Iraq with local support, same as in Yemen etc. it's a pipe dream to expect America to unilaterally come in with no regard for local sensibilities and solve the issue. The reality is they'll create more problems than they'll solve

Me personally, I don't trust the Americans, but if they do come in, they should fight off the actual people responsible for the insecurity and not engage in actions that'll increase the divide between communities

⚡Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum on Tuesday downplayed the likelihood of US military action against cartels on Mexican soil following a report that Washington is considering deploying troops south of the border.

“That won’t happen,” Sheinbaum told reporters in response to an NBC News report that President Donald Trump’s administration is planning ground operations against her country’s powerful cartels.

“Furthermore, we do not agree” with any intervention, the left-wing Sheinbaum added.

Trump has accused Mexico of not doing enough to halt the flow of drugs into the United States.

In addition to designating several Mexican cartels as “terrorist” organizations, he offered to send troops to Mexico to fight drug cartels, a proposal that Sheinbaum rejected.

you may find it insulting, but it is true.
y'all actions betray y'all true motives.

you have said you are open to foreign intervention.
that is the opposite of the musings from most northern muslims. including on this thread.
there has been a firm refusal against any form of unilateral foreign intervention.
...and this is the most important part, REGARDLESS of how many people are killed now or in the future.

all we get are empty, stup*d statements about sovereignty, unity, resources.
because they know and we all can attest that there is no internal plan by the security establishment and polity dominated by northern muslims to end the killings.
so y'all do not want to stop the killings. and y'all do not want foreigners to stop the killings.

that is the bottom line.

and my position is simple.
if those in charge of the security architecture do not want to stop the killings, someone else should.
i will not dance in circles when the truth is staring me in the face.

morocco and algeria are also in the neighborhood of libya.
they are muslims.
their elites did not invite terrorists and coddle them while they lay waste to their citizens.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist_bombings_in_Algeria
look at the list. that is a country with a 900 kilometer border with Libya.
we have eyes. we see muslims in indonesia, malaysia, singapore.
the elites y'all enthusiastically support cannot invite demons here, protect them, then you expect us to hold hands and sing kumbaya.

how many times have y'all ever organized a one-week general strike in the north where everything is grounded to force change.
when people want the status quo to change you'll see it. it's not by typing empty words.
if it's to hastily form mobs to protest cartoons, miss world, elections, and commit murder it will be organic. but thousands will die every year and all we get are crickets.
we see your priorities.

one up there in this thread was saying he doesn't mind picking up arms to confront the Americans.
he did not pick up arms to confront the terrorists killing his fellow Nigerians.
it's the Americans coming to kill terrorists that he wants to confront.
y'all be letting the mask slip and you think no one is noticing.

⚡U.S. manufacturing has been shrinking for the eighth consecutive month.

Donald Trump's rhetoric about the return of industrial America so far contradicts reality.

Bloomberg reports that American factory activity declined for the eighth consecutive month in October, driven by reduced production and sluggish demand.

Bloomberg notes that "manufacturers remain concerned about the overall uncertainty in the Trump administration's trade policy."

LordAdam16:
you may find it insulting, but it is true.
y'all actions betray y'all true motives.

you have said you are open to foreign intervention.
that is the opposite of the musings from most northern muslims. including on this thread.
there has been a firm refusal against any form of unilateral foreign intervention.
...and this is the most important part, REGARDLESS of how many people are killed now or in the future.

all we get are empty, stup*d statements about sovereignty, unity, resources.
because they know and we all can attest that there is no internal plan by the security establishment and polity dominated by northern muslims to end the killings.
so y'all do not want to stop the killings. and y'all do not want foreigners to stop the killings.

that is the bottom line.

and my position is simple.
if those in charge of the security architecture do not want to stop the killings, someone else should.
i will not dance in circles when the truth is staring me in the face.

morocco and algeria are also in the neighborhood of libya.
they are muslims.
their elites did not invite terrorists and coddle them while they lay waste to their citizens.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorist_bombings_in_Algeria
look at the list. that is a country with a 900 kilometer border with Libya.
we have eyes. we see muslims in indonesia, malaysia, singapore.
the elites y'all enthusiastically support cannot invite demons here, protect them, then you expect us to hold hands and sing kumbaya.

how many times have y'all ever organized a one-week general strike in the north where everything is grounded to force change.
when people want the status quo to change you'll see it. it's not by typing empty words.
if it's to hastily form mobs to protest cartoons, miss world, elections, and commit murder it will be organic. but thousands will die every year and all we get are crickets.
we see your priorities.

one up there in this thread was saying he doesn't mind picking up arms to confront the Americans.
he did not pick up arms to confront the terrorists killing his fellow Nigerians.
it's the Americans coming to kill terrorists that he wants to confront.
y'all be letting the mask slip and you think no one is noticing.

Oh no!! I should have known that the charade would be exposed with lordadam on the thread 😨. I mean this is the same guy who conjures up and foretells events and conflicts, down to the fine details and prescribes solutions all by himself embarassed

From all you've typed there, it seems you wouldn't mind seeing the Americans come on a civilizing mission, to reform those barbaric Northern Muslims

Let me tell you something about Northerners. We're a deeply flawed people with many faults, there are a lot of things you can pick on and mock concerning us, but we will never waver on an issue we know we're not wrong on

You see this smearing of us with a collective brush that you and your likes are doing, it'll change nothing. You can make all the noise you want, it'll still change nothing. We're used to being demonized in this entity called Nigeria, it's nothing new, so you can say whatever the hell you please

The reality take it or leave it, is simple. Whoever comes in, under whatever guise, to achieve whatever goal, mustn't do so at the expense of the wellbeing of the people of the region. Anything outside of that is better left imagined
