The Department of State Services (DSS) has terminated the employment of one hundred and fifteen workers, Very Nigerian reports.

This was made known in a statement released on Tuesday by the DSS on its official social media pages and website.

The secret police noted that the affected workers were sacked as part of ongoing reforms in the service.

It therefore warned members of the public to avoid dealing with the affected personnel who have been dismissed from service.

The statement reads: “As part of the ongoing reforms in the Department of State Services (DSS), the public is hereby informed that a total of 115 personnel have been dismissed over a period.

“In addition to earlier disclaimers on the duo of Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, the Service finds it necessary to warn citizens of the fraudulent activities of some of these persons still posing as DSS personnel.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any official dealing with these individuals who have been dismissed by the Service.

“For the sake of clarity, the identities of the dismissed personnel have been published on the website of the Service (http://dss.gov.ng).”

very good.. these are the bad eggs of the system. they scam and do all manner of evil in the name of DSS that's why they have to publish their faces so they don't continue parading themselves while scamming the general public

This is risky for their safety. This is the equivalent of blowing an intelligence officer's cover.

Even if they committed crimes. They should be quietly dealt with

Good way to go, one of the most incompetent security operatives in Nigeria. Don't just dismiss them, monitor their movements and communications too before they go about extorting Nigerians because leopards never changes their skin.

Very corrupt institution, all they care about is collecting bribe and clearing criminal elements and certificate forgers into sensitive government positions.

Don't they see how their fellow mate CIA operate, it is only in Nigeria you will see someone going about tagging himself as a secret service personnel...what is now the secret of everyone knowing you are a secret personnel, have you ever seen a CIA going about letting everyone know they are CIA?

The other day I saw a policeman with a tag on their uniform with the word "SPY POLICE" I was like wtf, why tell everyone you are a SPY or don't they know the meaning of the word "SPY".
