Good day everyone. Please, I'm new here and need orientation and advice. I just bought a Naija-used car from a friend. He told me the proof of ownership is not ready because he has paid someone to process it for him.Another thing: some of his documents will expire next year. Can I continue using the current documents that carry his name until they expire, or how do I go about it? Do I need to change the plate number? I don’t want to change it. This is not a stolen car—please note that he was using it for Bolt. Please, all the documents are still in his name; how do I go about it? Also, his LASDRI and Hackney permit have expired. How do I get my own as the new owner of the car, since I want to use it for Uber? Please, also list the documents I should have.Thank you all.

Drive it urself... Whatever you'll want to be done unto you, do it to others... People are not ur slave, you won't want someone to give you work that you'll barely get by with.... If you're looking for 9 to 5,you'll be looking for big salary but somehow you feel bolt driver deserves less becus na ur car... Not making excuse for bad behaviour but this is why some of these men handle these cars with disdain.... If you own a car, and want someone to drive for you, be VERY FAIR, you didn't employ a slave, I'll be glad if someone became a man of himself through my car, move on better in life through my car, driving for me won't be tantamount to just get feeding money and little pocket change... So far the person dey take good care of ur car, you should only aim 40% profit for you, 60% for him..... Someone like me will even take 35% and give him 65...ultimately na him dey road dey risk him life day in day out, let's all use our conscience.... If the person decides to see me as a fool, may God reward him then. That's my fair share
Drivers make an average of 40k daily profit. If driver works 5days a week, that's 200k profit every week. Going by your sharing ratio, 35% of 200k is 70k. So u see demanding 60-80k isn't outrageous.
It's always good to be empirical, objective and analytical not emotional and subjective.

That ur 50k proposal in this era is outdated. When repairs crop up, that's when you will know it would have been better u dash out the car or let it b parked in ur garage jeje.

There's no friendship in business.

If my driver-partner makes x2 more due to market realities, I should also request x2 more.
Rental agreement should be flexible.

LAGRIDE electric drivers pay 100k daily after an initial deposit of 1.2M, total package of 35M.

Again, there's no friendship in business.
100k daily?! shocked

People like you, na wetin you read on blogs you dey cap here.

40k is possible on some days, but not everyday, I can guarantee that.
I thought u are a driver?
Sometimes it's arguments like this that reveals people.
Yes, u might not do 40k everyday some days u will do 50k someday 60k and very few days 30k maybe because u didnt start early or u closed earlier. Now, If u do 30k today and 50k tomorrow are u not still doing 40k avg?
Truthfully, any one not doing 40k profit in this season isnt doing well. No mincing words.

Drive the car like that if u don't have money to do change of ownership to ur name yet. But never tell police it's ur car.
When u have money, u do change of ownership, all documents will be in ur name and it will come with a new plate number.
U need Hackney permit and lasdri.
Lasdri will be in ur name cos it's a personal ID
So just renew the Hackney since ur friend has done it already. Pray u haven't been fined already for expired hackney. Check d status of the car on payvisdotng

I made up my mind not to comment bro. Iz shocking what people say. That u r a professional driver and grossing 70k-80kdaily is an issue.

As u explain so well even some day u can't meet up for reasons stated or even someday sef u wake up and u can't work. Ur body. U rest that whole day no one go beat u. But wen u r on d road u r a beast. Anyways all man and their way

Hi Pilots

On a more serious concern, hw do we cope with the new tax reform that will start from next year?

Is it that we need to register as a business and declare our income or Uber/bolt apps will handle this for us.

I need more enlightenment on this pls

Last month I worked 25days, 15days inside that 25days I net on average 45k-60k daily, then the other 10days remaining I net on average 40k-25k daily.. after calculating my total net income last month I would say I made on average 900k last month.. weekly rental 70k×4weeks=280k.. 900k-280k =620k... weekly rental of 60k-80k is doable, personally I know drivers doing 80k-90k weekly and they are doing OK.. I no fit give person my car to be doing 40k-50k weekly rental that's too low E better make I park the car naa... please Note am using honda civic, am not even an average driver I will call myself a lazy driver grin grin :Dbecause I know wetin average drivers dey make..

You dey mind those lying drivers like if they have a car to give out for rentals, they will collect 30k- 40k weekly with how things be. We all know how much we dey make weekly and monthly on a low,we know 40k rentals weekly is a crime.

You are saying the truth my brother. Tokunbo Korope for ph here is 4.5 to 4.6m.

Daily delivery is 12k. And on Sunday the deliver 6k. So at the end of the week you have 78k.

If eventually any repairs happen, you will have something at the end of the week.

Meanwhile ehailing drivers deliver 30k weekly. How can i invest 4m or 5m in a business and at end of the week i get only 30k.

Just one repair, the whole money is gone. I will rather buy treasury bills or put the money on mutual funds.
