The EU earns ≈ €45 billion from Nigeria every single year — that’s €123 million a day.

Here’s the 2024–2025 breakdown (official EU & Nigerian Customs data, released Oct 2025):

1. Oil & Gas (72%)
• Nigeria ships 1.6 million barrels/day to Europe
• 2025 avg. Brent price: $78/barrel
• €36.2 bn cash straight to EU energy giants (Shell, Total, Eni, BP)

2. Cocoa, Sesame, Leather (18%)
• EU buys €8.1 bn of Nigerian farm & raw materials
• Germany alone takes €2.4 bn cocoa beans

3. Re-exports & Services (10%)
• Dutch ports re-export Nigerian LNG → €4.5 bn
• French banks & insurers skim €1.2 bn fees

Grand total: €45.1 billion (2024 actual)
€45.8 billion (2025 Jan–Sep run-rate)

Compare to what Nigeria gets back:

• EU aid + loans: €680 million
• Net flow: Nigeria → EU = €45 bn OUT, €0.68 bn IN
→ 66 times more leaves than arrives

• €45 bn = 3× Nigeria’s entire 2025 health + education budget
• One Rotterdam refinery makes €9 bn profit on Nigerian crude alone

They take you seriously enough to pump €45 billion out of you every year while they give you €600+ million as "aid" and "financial assistance"

Oseni is a clown

A lot of people love to mock me when I point out how dependent on oil we are....and how bad it is for our economy.

Mr Oseni has demonstrated further how bad it is for our economy.

You know me, I have repeatedly said that all Nigerian leaders from past to present are bad leaders because they do not use our resources to make exportable manufactured goods. Instead we sell oil, and when oil price does not meet up, we get broke and take loans. Expolitation of the type above is the last straw.

Many Nigerians don't realize this, which is why we will never get a good leader, because their idea of development is equitable sharing of oyel money. Which does not work because...we are broke.

Keep in mind that even if we get the 46 billion euros that Oseni has calculated, it still wont be enough for this country. We need something that can give us an income , by my own estimation, of hundreds of euros a year...so that we can have a budget that is at least 150 billion euros which would give us the kind of standard of living that we can enjoy.

But like most people, we keep on voting for leaders who promise equitable sharing of the money. Like now, we have tinubu whose slogan was it is my turn...to help share the moni.

Anyway, make we continu. I cannot help people unwilling to see, see.

The only thing a lot of Nigerians are good at is to criticize. Why not tell us what you are making and exporting to the Europe to balance this trade. The companies making the purchase from Nigeria, are they not human beings like you? Why are you not able to also develop and sell a product to them over there.

Dangote is right here doing his bit to balance this anomaly of always buying finished products from the raw materials we produce here, but the children of hate will not see that. Rufai knows that the average Nigerian youth does not think beyond the headlines. They have a desperately low ability to think beyond the beer parlor gists.

The same way an employee says they are helping the employer without considering he is being paid salary for the "help".
