saxwizard:Appointment or to submit for preliminary review? cos without preliminary stage i dont think you can go further to appointment. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by saxwizard(m): 2:00pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
Floorreach:This was the email received. we are pleased to inform you that you have an appointment to apply for a long term visa for sonstige / other (NO family reunion / NO students) with the reference number ******* in Lagos. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Floorreach: 2:51pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
saxwizard:hmmm, so you didnt upload anything? well, i dont know what to say again |

saxwizard:Sorry to read about the lack of funds. When you say you got "an email for appointment to apply" , do you mean you've already joined the waiting list, scaled through preliminary review and now you're to book an appointment? If you applied on the same digital portal as everyone else, there's no way you would have scaled the PR stage without uploading a BA/SL. So what exactly are we missing here? 🤔 Either ways, in terms of funding, I am a strong opposer of sponsorship letters through third party individuals, this is because I was faced with this before relocating and a lot of Nigerians in Germany will open shop on your head. If you can raise 6 months proof of funds (about N11m) for BA in Germany, you can try your luck, but there have been conflicting reports on this as it seems the embassy may or may not accept it. That's my own 2 cents. All the best. |

the email you received doesn't sound like any I have received so far + it states "long term visa". we applied for chancenkarten- opportunity card visa, so we may not be dealing with same thing. that said, if while you were applying, you have been expressly asked to supply BA/SL, I do not reckon you will scale through without one. that said, I am not a staff of the german consulate, so you can of course try and see. Viel Erfolg! saxwizard: |

cyberbro:I believe the guy applied in a wrong visa category cos the email he said he got has nothing to do with opportunity card. He obviously didn't use the digital portal. Normally during preliminary review, dem go bounce anybody wey no get SL or BA. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by saxwizard(m): 7:18pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
Floorreach:So for me I think before they moved the opportunity card online. I applied before then. Late last year. Although they asked me to create online which I also did. It was after several months I got this email now.

cyberbro:Thank you for your input. Are you familiar with this number +212693429*** Wanted to be sure it is from you. I have redacted the last 3 digits |

WebKraft:I did apply online too They also sent me email to login to keep my profile active. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 7:32pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
saxwizard:No! It is not from me and I am not familiar with that number. I hope someone hasn't been using my moniker to send emails to people here. Please if anyone contacts you claiming to be Cyberbro, kindly screenshot the message, block and report the account, they must be the same set of scammers that used Sid57's moniker to mail someone earlier. I have never contacted anyone or even accepted a message request on Nairaland. Please stay vigilant! |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 7:35pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
Note of Caution ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ It's obvious some scammers are following this thread quietly and they're using popular monikers to send emails to people, especially those of us who have been active here... Please, as a rule, do not accept any message request from anyone claiming he/she forgot his email or password, cos I read something like that earlier. Let's be vigilant y'all! Scammers are monitoring this thread! |

saxwizard:Oh wow! These guys mean business... That's a Moroccan number, I no dey Morocco ooo 😁 Hope you can see the difference between my post and what the scammer is saying? I clearly discouraged the SL stuff, whereas the scammer is trying to prey on your desperation. This is why I always refuse message requests here on Nairaland cos I don't trust anyone. Please identify the person's Nairaland ID, send to Seun in order to have the account banned, cos they must be on Nairaland to have been able to contact you. Abeg oooo ✌🏽 |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by saxwizard(m): 7:55pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
cyberbro:You are right. I asked the person to provide in dept how it works Couldn’t give anything reasonable. I knew it wasn’t you |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by cyberbro: 7:57pm On Nov 05, 2025 |
saxwizard:Also, I'd advice you remove your phone number from your signature. Seeing as this isn't an email but a WhatsApp message, it makes it very easy for various people to contact you. That must have been what the scammer saw. It's your responsibility to keep yourself safe and don't fall prey to anyone. |

saxwizard:Good! If you look through my previous posts on this thread, my position has remained the same when it comes to Verpflichtungserklärung (sponsorship letters). I detest it with a passion cos some Nigerians in Germany are using it to milk people financially. Also there's the scam aspect which you can see yourself. Stay safe bro. ✌🏽 |

saxwizard:🆗! Cos everything about this stuff is on the digital portal. By the way, when did you join the waiting list? I heard waiting period is now 6-12 months... |

I guess you applied through the old portal. Which category did you choose? As far as I know, you can only apply for the Opportunity Card visa through the new portal. For the proof of funds, you need either a sponsorship letter or a blocked account. I’m still surprised you didn’t go through the preliminary review and were asked to book an appointment. Are you sure your visa category is Opportunity Card? I just checked the thread—please be careful of scammers. saxwizard: |

please can anyone help, i applied for opportunity card since february, i already have a blocked account for 6 months, my previous understanding was that once my University is recognised and also my degree type i wont need a ZAB, turned out during preliminary review in early august they rejected the proof of the anabin database i showed, stating that i have to provide a ZAB, i applied immediately for the ZAB and also pleaded for leniency from the embassy as regards awaiting the ZAB, some few weeks later my portal showed this "Your application cannot be processed Your application does not meet the necessary requirements or has not been submitted to the German mission responsible for you. It can therefore not be finalised. Check whether another visa is more suitable for you. You can find further information here" please i will like to know what this means, its been 3 months now and i now have my ZAB, coupled with some changes which was required during my review which was affidavit that covers all variations of my name e.t.c ....please is there anyone here who has had this experience or who can advise on that step to take? will i have to begin the process all again? |

The Consul-General of Federal Republic of Germany in Lagos, Mr. Daniel Krulls, has said the consulate was putting processes in place to fast-track visa processing for Nigerians, with a target of three-week maximum processing period for all categories of visas.Krulls made the revelation, yesterday, at a media briefing to outline his plans as the new CG of the Consulate, expressing enthusiasm on potential stronger economic cooperation between Germany and Nigeria. #Germany #Visaprocessing https:///5874c9e0251104en_ng?link=1&client=news |
