I really need advice concerning making a choice between the two jobs before me. My family members are divided over which job I should choose.

I'm working in a highbrow secondary school in lagos andy salary presently with private lessons combined is almost N200k I just got a lecturing job with one of the southwest state polytechnic and my gross salary according to the appointment letter is N88000 My father wants me to continue with my teaching in the secondary school but my mother is pressuring me to write acceptance letter to the polytechnic and accept the offer. There's no time, as I am to resume the polytechnic job next week

Should I go and become Mr. Lecturer and sacrifice my secondary school benefits?

Even sec school come dey pay pass state poly again.

If person go collect money for handouts now won't it be justifiable? Or marks for pay how you go blame them?

A lot needs to change in this country o.

U and Ur daddy nor know how much be hand-out and runs for higher institution......besides, there is a better career path at the higher institution, if u get your PhD...u become a senior lecture...write papers..., do collabo with other lectures, publish papers..u can eventually move to better institutions and become professor.....

I think the polytechnic will be a better move. Though it will be a pay cut but overall I think it will be a better move. It will improve your CV and eventually you ll switch to a better institution.

Bro don't see that 200k as a last bus stop to your growth. I always prefer anything public than private especially if it's coming from government. Government secures the future while private is for the moment . Go grab that lecturing job without looking back the future will be more brighter next coming years.
