Well I believe this thread is not for such discussions. There are other threads meant for what you guys are bickering about. Read the title of the thread again. I come in peace.

This is actually a good thing. Just like courtship is intended to help you know your potential soulmate better to avoid marrying a nutjob. Discussions like these are important to know who you are allying with. One member of your camp just threatened to jihad another member of your camp.

Imagine spending time, effort and resources fighting along side a comrade in arms only for them to jihad you afterwards. tongue
Well well well😂😂. Nothing unites a people like a common enemy they say.

Good to see that beyond the pro Western or anti-Western charade you guys put up around here, one common thing is that y'all don't even like each other after all. Funny how it took just an empty bluff from Trump to reveal just what some of you really are. At no time was this evil more apparent than when an anti-Western dude threatened a member of his own camp with the 'Jihad' punishment. So who are you guys really deceiving? Some of y'all are past redemption already.

Ukrainian sources report a critical situation in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, with Russian troops advancing toward a full encirclement of Ukrainian units.

A senior AFU officer told BILD that "80 percent" of Pokrovsk has fallen and Myrnohrad is "practically surrounded."

Zelensky has delayed the decision to withdraw from Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad against the advice of his generals, with the belief that a withdrawal would be perceived as a symbolic defeat in Washington.

i know you took time to type this out and it is informative.
but let me share a riposte.

have you noticed how our national media highlight news stories about the accomplishments and fails of Nigerians abroad.
when Nigerians are apprehended in the Emirates for committing crime, the media carries it.
when a Nigerian becomes a mayor or is elected or appointed to a high office, the media celebrates it.
when a Nigerian excels in business or profession, we know.

does it imply that only Nigerians commit crimes abroad or start businesses or get elected?
do you think any Russian or Chinese media highlights the kidnappings in Southern Nigeria or the burning of churches in Northern Nigeria?

explain exactly how Southern media reporting on every terrorist attack on northern muslims will end the killings of both christians and muslims?
so until we start covering every terrorist attack, they will not find a solution to the menace. wonderful!
do you think i give a sh*t if northern media reports on cult killings in southern nigeria?

i wonder why it is only when it comes to the north that we need to understand nuance and context and obtain PhDs in anthropology.
how about they end the killings and we don't need to worry about any of that.

here's something that should not come as a surprise to you.
the south has a deep resentment of the north.
and this is not just about the south east.

it is not that southerners have hatred for northern muslims.
in fact, nearly everyone would have good stories to share about the honesty of northern muslims in small scale business when we interact with them. we know they have a short fuse, so we keep our interactions light.

but, and this is a very big but, we see the christian dominated countries of ghana, benin, and cameroon and we know we would have had that if the British had not yoked us together with cultures that are alien to us.
we would be rich and developed and we sure as hell would have ended any herder-farmer clashes or militia operations in the South.
i have seen a video of a dead southern woman that had clearly been anally raped before she was murdered. the animals left her splayed like they were displaying chicken on a rotisserie.
in an independent southern nigeria, that incident alone would have ended the presence of herders or militia within 100 mile radius of that community.
the killers would have been brought to book. if they were hiding in a forest, we will launch an SMO to kill every last one of them. if they like, let them be aliens from mars.
but you did not hear about it.
you don't hear about every single accident or death even in southern nigeria committed by elements that we all know have not been adequately pursued by the authorities that is dominated by northern muslims.

do you not wonder why three years after, most christians who have commented on this topic keep bringing up deborah while they keep glossing over it.
we have no reason or incentive to want to "understand" them better. we've seen enough and it is repulsive.
we don't have bandwidth to properly count coffins.
the killings should end.
one is already too many.

how are we in the 21st century when countries are talking about returning to the moon, and we have people scrunching their faces because we did not accurately count every coffin.
that one follow for achievement?
and what is this irrelevant talk of fulani victims of fulani militias.
is evans a muslim? he was a christian kidnapping christians. did we write an open letter to the world to make sure they "uNdErStAnD cOnTeXt aNd NuAnCe".

it is as though the northerners are allergic to accountability.
we have confraternities, criminals, and paramilitary groups in the south that commit murder.
in what year since 1914 have they killed 7000 muslims during peacetime, whether they are from the north or south.

it is when we start talking about ending the scourge that they want to introduce completely irrelevant rubbish.
let them end the killings. we don't want to report on either the killings of christians or muslims.
the political and security nexus of this country revolves around the muslim north.
we keep our muslims safe and we don't want or need a plaque for it.
a southern muslim from edo or oyo will never fear for his life purely on the basis of his religion anywhere in the south.
this is the south that still has its problems. we've had our rivalries. we have crime. we have corruption. we've had fatal boundary clashes and inter-ethnic clashes.

the north should end the killings of christians and their own muslim siblings (since they need to be reminded) and stop disturbing us with nonsense.
they will raise every useless motion under the sun to avoid looking in the mirror.
landlord ask you for rent, you dey tell am mk e learn your genealogy.
after all the death, you are waiting for us to end our bias before you act to stop the killings. see talk.

as i wake up this morning, i should find news report of northern muslims killed overnight by protected savages to send to relatives so they can be properly informed.
na life be that.

when in a normal country we would be planning itinerary for an impromptu visit to the sand dunes of yobe or kajaru castle without worrying for our safety

-Lord
Yep, I spent 3+ hours writing it. And I had to drop this part before dropping the second part, which is more critical of the north because at the end of the day, the buck stops at their doorstep.

That said, you are correct on the fact that media reportage or non-reportage has no effect on the government’s political will to stop the terrorists. But it does clarify the position of northerners on this topic. They are as hurt as we are.

One common argument I see on social media is some southerners accusing northerners of not talking about the terror attacks. Northerners say they do, and then arguments start and before we know it, it becomes another ethnic superiority/inferiority tirade and yansh-opening contest.

As for the resentment, I see that too. There is no political trust between the north and we down here in the south. Each one just tolerates the other. But even here down south, the Igbos and Yorubas do not trust themselves and just tolerate each other.

For one, there is serious anti-Igbo sentiment, especially in places like Lagos. Yorubas and Igbos will wed themselves on Saturdays, and meet up to eat, drink, and laugh together, but each person knows that he/she will be reminded of his father’s house once things get out of hand.

This ethnic hatred between Yorubas and Igbos is my issue with an independent Southern Nigeria. If you put a Yoruba politician and an Igbo politician and a poisonous snake in a room, the both of them will try killing themselves before thinking of the snake.

In multiethnic societies like this, one ethnic group always ends up dominating over the other politically. Anything outside of that will end up in a confederation, which is always weak, and will ultimately break up at some point. But who will dominate over who in Southern Nigeria? Yorubas and Igbos won’t gree for themselves. And then there are the Ijaws too, who are more or less a major ethnic group at this point, considering their large population.

Ijaws know their oil money is what will keep Southern Nigeria going. They do not want to be a part of our current Nigeria and will refuse to be with Southern Nigeria or Southeastern Nigeria if those become a thing. They famously refused to be a part of Biafra and have always made sure to refuse supporting secessionist groups like IPOB.

But will anyone allow the Ijaws to go away with the oil? No. The Yorubas won’t allow it, the Hausas won’t allow it, and the Igbos won’t allow it. This means until the other ethnic groups find considerable oil reserves or some other valuable mineral resource that brings in lots of money within short periods, the Ijaws will continue to remain unwilling casualties of the madness going on in this country.

Left to me, a lot of damage has been done, and many more are coming. But we are really stuck with ourselves at the end of the day, and unless we fight some serious war or have some nationalist leader or do some serious restructuring with our constitution that reduces the power in the center, we are going nowhere.

I do not want a war and will prefer a nationalist leader (of which there is none at the moment) or a constitutional amendment that gives more powers to state governors, local governments, and traditional rulers. That should take people’s eyes off the center and onto their own leaders closer to them.

New York Jews:
it’s time to come back home!
Zion is where you belong!

The prophet Ezekiel wrote in chapter 36:

“When they came to the nations, wherever they went, they profaned My holy name—when they said of them, ‘These are the people of the Lord, and yet they have gone out of His land.’ But I had concern for My holy name, which the house of ISRAEL had profaned among the nations wherever they went.

“Therefore say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord God: “I do not do this for your sake, O house of Israel, but for My holy name’s sake, which you have profaned among the nations wherever you went. And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord,” says the Lord God, “when I am hallowed in you before their eyes.
For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”

A high-level diplomatic energy summit led by the United States, with the participation of ISRAEL , Cyprus, and Greece, will take place on Thursday in Athens.

ISRAEL'S Energy Minister Eli Cohen will depart today for the summit, which will be attended by U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright, Greece Energy Minister , and Cyprus Energy Minister George P. Also joining the discussions will be U.S. Interior Secretary , a close ally of Donald Trump.

The summit will focus on strengthening regional cooperation, advancing joint energy initiatives, and establishing a strategic infrastructure corridor linking the Gulf, ISRAEL, and Europe. The ministers are also expected to address plans for intercontinental energy connectivity—including an electric cable and natural gas pipelines—to bolster energy security and integration between ISRAEL and Europe.
