Personally, I prefer a structured United Nigeria. We have the potential, human and natural resources to dominate the world.
A reformed Nigeria where we have something like the American type of electoral college. This will curb the child voting and population fraud the North is using to checkmate Southern political leaders.

Secondly, each state should control their resources and pay a certain amount to the center. If Kano, Zamfara & co like they should continue to use HISBAH police to destroy alcoholic beverages while waiting to collect tax revenue from alcohol (hypocrite they're). Dem go wake up by force.

Thirdly, state policing is a must. You can't have islamic terrorist attacking your state while you look helpless cox you cannot mobilize the police. The last attack on Benue according to media reports lasted for two days. Yet, the there was no assistance from the security agents.

Let me respond to the last part about state police. While state police looks a very good option, be reminded of the concern of the former head of NLC (Ayuba Wanna) regarding state police. It happened at a time when a particular sitting governor hired non state actors to disrupt protests. It was a very bad event.

Ayuba Wabba while arguing against state police stressed that if a governor can do such, how much worse will he do if he has the control of the police in his hands.

I agree with Ayuba Wabba, state police should not be allowed. The People will suffer.

Many a times i have been deep in a "brown study" and wondered how individuals could show so much empathy to civilians in Gaza while also cheering on Putin's destruction in Ukraine!!. All my ruminations on these matter never made sense to me!!

After much thought, i came to the conclusion that two distinct factors were driving such irrational thinking. I have stated it before here on the thread. let me reiterate myself for empahsis sake!! hate for the West!! and religion!!. These two double edge sword with the latter being more potent are the driving force influencing such behaviours!!

It is now axiomatic that some of those who were clamouring for gaza civilians were simply influenced by religion. Because i find it strange that the same set of fellows who have been hullabaloo on the thread day and night for the likes of russia, iran, and China to intervene in the "perceive killings and genocide of civilians in Gaza and now vehemently resisting the mere idea of an external intervention in Nigeria while camouflaging under the pretense that they want the country sovereignty to be intact

Bearing in mind that terrorists and other militias have been breaching our borders for some time now. In fact, our borders are as accessible and spacious to foreign elements as a "lady of the night" working tool!!.

P.s Trump is not coming!! That's a fact, a military intervention by the US is not feasible. Not now, not in the foreseeable future.

But at least what we can gain from this debacle is that it has become obvious without doubt, that expect the Christians and other minorities in the northern part of Nigeria fend for themselves nobody will help them. Not the Nigeria government nor the military


Another fact that gain from this debacle is that Nigeria won't celebrate 100 years as a sovereign nation together.. She won't even see 80 years together. We as a country is sliding down the slope of disintegration..the question is will it be a peaceful separation? or civil war??

At the bolded, we don't have too many alternatives. Abuse of executive powers can also be attributed to the FG. In the past we had sitting elected governor in Nigeria kidnapped. Amaechi & Ngige are prime examples. In both cases the police received order from Abuja to stand down.

Which other option do you suggest if the state cannot control their internal & domestic security? Maybe gun ownership should be made legal for all citizens, machine guns & automatic rifles.
