Who Is Still Taking Adeboye Serious? by PeopleStructure(op): 11:16am On Nov 08, 2025
This man, like other big men of God in Nigeria, didn't deem it fit to speak out against this genocide until Trump in faraway America did and he has suddenly found his voice, trying to ride the wave like he did during endsars.

Doesn't seem genuine to me one bit. Just a means of staying relevant and steering himself in line of the public's good graces. Or maybe just being proactive to avoid criticisms and possible sanctions by the US for complicity through silence.

Imagine their counterpart, Sheik Gumi, always about the whole place defending his murderous brethren despite it not looking good on him while they (Adeboye, Oyedepo, and others) hold their peace in their safe places. After all, whoever dies, let him die, the remaining will continue to pay tithe. And the lord is always good.

All round hypocrites!

Even imagine. He said he was compelled to speak out (possibly by his PR people), meaning that otherwise he wouldn't have. I'm beginning to think it's time we boycotted these business centers called churches.

your hypocrisy stinks here. Tinubu government should eradicate terrorists here. It's long overdue

Go and read my other post. Adeboye is an important Christian figure and should have spoken up before now. Somebody needed to bring pressure. Adeboye and all the Christian leaders didn't despite majority of those dying being Christians. It took one poor pastor in Benue raising his voice for the world to hear and now he wants to tap in.

If calling a spade a spade is hypocrisy, then that I am proudly.

I take him seriously. Some people have no regard for their own parents so don't expect them to have regard for others. I respect him

I don't take him serious anymore but I used to, very much. He only spoke up now not because he cares but because he thinks a fellow yoruba man's government may be in jeopardy if Trump carries out his threats against terrorists in Nigeria. Adeboye knows that America will expose Tinubu's incompetence and that may lead to the collapse of a yoruba president. That's why he is speaking up now. I read the excerpt of his speech and I immediately understood the underlying message to Tinubu. The man Adeboye is a core ethnic jingoist and to him, tribe takes priority over whatever he is preaching. I'll rather go to hell proudly than go to Adeboye's heaven.

After many of them, such as Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor Paul Enenche, and Apostle Johnson Suleman, to mention only a few, openly warned Nigerians not to vote for incompetence, the people still went ahead and ignored those warnings. Now that the consequences of those choices are becoming evident, and the nation is facing an ongoing genocide, some are expecting these same men of God to speak out again. Isn’t that ironic? No be juju be that?
Re: Who Is Still Taking Adeboye Serious? by PeopleStructure(op):
Tinubu didn't win the last election and they know it. The people didn't vote incompetence, it was foisted on us by force. These GOs should know better and have continued speaking up against wickedness, but no, they didn't because hungry and desperate people are easy to manipulate and control.

I completely lost respect for him when he supported buhari against his Christian brother Jonathan.
