As Mr Salihu forgotten that the first section of this Sokoto-Badagry road started from Kebbi state, is Kebbi part of South West. When the first tranche of the money for that section was released, did he complained. |

Immatex:Why not implement regional restructuring into the six regions and let each region build its infrastructure based on its productivity? If the North are not happy, they should support restructuring now. I like what Tinubu is doing, it proves that Nigeria can never developed as a united nation. |

That's beautiful. They borrow loans in the name of Nigeria and use the loans to develop their regions. Buhari did same thing and u guys kept quiet Now it's tinubu's turn and u guys are complaining. Nothing more to say. |

Some not really educated will believe this bigot . That Sokoto highway is #553 billion and he counted it as South West. That Sokoto highway takes more than half of the #1 trillion. Since the inception of Nigeria most of our money, which mostly belong to the South, has always been spent on the North either on infrastructures, agriculture, social programmes etc and even on terrorism which has been there for decades. At the expense of the core North,Nigeria has been stagnated. These ingrates that will always force you to talk with their slimy behavior have always had the lion share of the budget with enormous money been spent on them every year. Don't worry. You will surely help push the separation of Nigeria quickly. |

Good2go1:Look at this bigot. Is the Calabar coastal road mostly in the SW? No,it is mostly spread into all the South South States. This is the first time a government is putting our money where the goose lays the golden egg....the South South. No government has ever remembered them the way Tinubu has done. |

Eboofa:Tinubu has done more for the SE than any govt and he is going to do more. These are some of what he has given to the SE to facilitate development. Establishment of the South-East Development Commission (SEDC): The President signed the bill to establish the SEDC into law, a move widely commended as a historic step toward post-civil war reconstruction, reconciliation, and development in the region. The commission is tasked with addressing infrastructural deficits, promoting industrialization, and tackling unemployment and insecurity in the region. Approval of the South-East Investment Company (SEIC): As a subsidiary of the SEDC, the SEIC was approved with a projected capital base of ₦150 billion to mobilize private capital and drive long-term economic transformation in the region. Major Road Infrastructure Projects: The administration has prioritized the completion and rehabilitation of critical federal roads in the Southeast. Enugu-Onitsha Expressway: The 107 km dual-carriage road is undergoing reconstruction, with significant progress reported and a completion deadline set for May 2026. Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway: The rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Umuahia-Aba section (Section II) is underway with a June 2025 completion deadline. Second Niger Bridge Access Road: The Federal Government began the construction of a 17.55 km access road in Asaba to fully link the Second Niger Bridge to key transport corridors, enhancing connectivity between the South-South and South-East. 9th Mile-Oturkpo-Makurdi Road: Funds were approved for the dualization of this strategic road, improving connectivity between Enugu, Makurdi, Abuja, and northern Nigeria. Eastern Rail Line Reconstruction: The Senate commended President Tinubu for allocating $3 billion for the long-awaited reconstruction of the Eastern Rail Line (Port Harcourt to Maiduguri), a major move to boost regional connectivity and economic growth. Etc. |
A former Special Adviser to former Kano State Governor, Salihu, has insisted that yesterday's Federal Executive Council meeting was a "South West FEC meeting". Salihu who posted on X has been a constant critic of the alleged lopsided infrastructural raise and allocations to the South West, especially Lagos, the President's home state. The FEC yesterday approved the following projects.... Yesterday, the FEC approved several fresh and revised road project contracts: 1. Sokoto–Badagry Coastal Superhighway Section 3 163 km (Badagry → Ogun-Oyo border) ₦553 billion (₦3.39 bn/km, full concrete) 2. Ota–Idiroko Section I + Flyover 14 km road + 509 m flyover, Ogun ₦98 bn (road) + ₦23 bn (flyover) = ₦121 billion total 3. Ijebu Igbo–Etapa–Owoyen Road 37 km (Ogun-Oyo link, +7 km added) ₦53 billion (from ₦13 bn original) 307% increase, now full concrete with upgraded base. 4. Lagos–Ibadan Expressway Phase II Section II Fresh award: ₦43.73 billion Includes underpasses, ramps, side roads. 5. Ilorin–Omu Aran–Egba Road Phase I 31 km (out of 207 km), Kwara ₦43 billion 6. Wasasa–Turunku–Mararaba Phase II 42 km, Kaduna ₦30.23 billion Continues earlier 7.8 km section. 7. Enugu–Onitsha Road Phase I 35 km (OP Junction → Anambra border) ₦28.47 billion total (₦7 bn balance pending). 8. Mushin–NNPC–Apapa–Oshodi Dualisation 14.4 km, Lagos ports access ₦19.09 billion (up from ₦11 bn). 9. East–West Road (restructured) PH–Warri axis + 3 flyovers + 2 bridges Inherited ₦156 billion package Two new flyovers (Abuloma & Refinery) Salihu's reply https://x.com/dawisu/status/1986748878272811049?t=TKIVmo3YLVCn4H4jXUBxEQ&s=19
Other parts of Nigeria will still be taken care of pro-rata but it's good to keep a tab on these very critical projects to ensure they are completed for the good of Nigeria and NOT turn it into an ethnic bashing which this minority Fula boy is ALWAYS doing. These are the same people who openly protected and allowed their foreign Fula militia bandits from the West African Sahel countries to attack several indigenous communities in Hausaland to Plateau to Benue to Taraba to Nassarawa, Southern Kaduna, etc, WITHOUT being prosecuted in court. The BIGGEST railway terminus in Nigeria is being built in Kano State with other bigger projects running into billions approved for the North. When PMB was in charge, several projects were approved for the North such as the Kano-Maradi rail line which President 'Bola Tinubu's government is spending more money to complete by 2026. |

Good2go1:These are the states the road passes: Lagos: The starting point of the highway. Ogun: The next state after Lagos. Ondo: The third state along the route. Edo: An addition to the original alignment, with 100 km of the project passing through the state. Delta: A state that the highway will cross. Bayelsa: Another state on the route. Rivers: The highway passes through this state. Akwa Ibom: The second to last state before the highway's end. Cross River: The final destination and starting point of the highway in the east. Ebonyi, Abia and Enugu will also gain thus: While not on the main coastal route, the Minister of Works, David Umahi, announced and flagged off the construction of a specific spur road that connects to Ebonyi State: The Calabar-Ebonyi-Benue-Nasarawa-Abuja road network is a separate, 118.8km section that will link the main coastal highway corridor to the northern parts of the country. This road is expected to go from Ndibe Beach in Afikpo, Ebonyi State, and terminate at Mbeke Ishieke. Another planned spur will go from Enugu-Abakaliki-Ogoja going to Cameroon. The government is also undertaking separate road projects within Abia State, such as the construction of the Aba-Ikot-Ekpene road and the Okigwe road to ABSU, but these are independent projects and not part of the main 700km coastal highway's route. |
