Some areas in today's northern Africa was once dominated by Christians; Hippo, Carthage, Alexandria.
Until the Christians there were ransacked and kill.ed by the advancing Arabs Muslims Jihadists.

Except for a few Coptic Christians who are facing extinction via persecution nothing is left.

In 50 and 60’s they were no where to be found except the core north, today they are advancing using every available means which includes Politics, Jihad and all manner of methods they are using ..

Some Christians are very docile, average Nigerian Christian separate politics from religion, but Muslim see religion and politics as one that’s why they seem to have been succeeding and be making ways in some areas

The big fat lie in Nigeria is that Muslims are Majority. I doubt this. Upon how Northerners try to suppress expansion of Christianity in Core North. There is no Northern State that doesn't have thousand of churches and millions of christians, including Sokoto, Kano and Borno but to South-South and South -East you rarely see Mosque not to talk of Muslim. Muslims population in Akwa Ibom alone is not up to 2000. Only Hausa/ Fulani residents there and their Mosque not up to five. Everything in Nigeria is politics . Even the Majority of Northerners recoding in Akwa Ibom are christians from middle belt.

Religion and politics go hand in hand in the Muslims world.
Some of these useful idio.ts who called themselves Christians and say there's no genocide against Christians are doing so because of their stomach.

They are pen-for-hire.

I remember those names from my history and literature lessons in secondary school, as well as from Discovery Channel!

Similar fate equally befell Constantinople, that was once the seat of the first Pope! It’s now known as Istanbul after the jihadist Arabs did a number on them!

Nigeria is supposed to divide..... it's the only country with a large population on both sides joined as one.

The docility of Christians is to be blamed for the so-called expansion of islam and the wrong investments in building empires and real estate by the wealthy churches instead of massive genuine evangelism!

Looking at the map again, one thing you notice is that there’s a common thread joining all the countries that have a convergence of Christian and Muslim populations and are contiguous to one another….from Nigeria on the left right up to Southern Sudan on the right! In ALL cases, bar none, the relationship has been fractious! The Christian populations in countries like South Sudan have managed to fight back and eventually gained independence from their previous ‘overlords’, and their next door neighbour, The CAR, mounted a stiff resistance to Islamic incursions with their anti-balaka (i may have spelt the name wrongly) militia! The plucky Ethiopians to the far east of the map were never conquered! However, things get pathetic when you look towards the west of the map and see countries like Nigeria and Cameroon that have a cowed and appeasing Christian population that took the biblical admonition of turning the other cheek a bit too literally, and are presently being overrun and colonised by sahelian jihadists almost unimpeded! Those ones are waiting for Trump to come and save them!

This is more applicable to Southwest Christians.

They really need an urgent reawakening before it becomes too late

Southern Nigeria needs to get away from Northern Nigeria like Southern Sudan got away from Sudan.
The cultural and religious differences are too glaring, the utterly contrasting outlook on life make these two sides incompatible.

Let me burst your bubble 🗯️,

Most of the green areas are uninhabitable and sparsely populated apart from the littoral areas and the North.

But they will want you to believe that they are the majority especially in Nigeria grin.

Even in Northern Nigeria, the Northwestern region which is acclaimed the most dominated by the Muslims, they are a handful of Indeginous Christians from Illela in Sokoto, through Kebbi down to Malumfashi in Katsina state not leaving the ones from Kano and Kaduna State behind. In this region they want to make it look like they are 100% Muslims which is a big farce at least about 5-10% of the population are Indeginous Christians.

In the Northeastern part of the country they are a large percentage of Indeginous Christians with some states making close to 80-90% of the population. States like Borno (I have a great Christian friend from here) have about 20-30% Indeginous Christians mainly domiciled in the southern part of the state as in most states in this region, Yobe state about 10-20%, Gombe state about 50% (if not more) I have stayed in this state, Bauchi about 40-50%, Adamawa about 30-40%, Taraba about 80-90%.

In the Northcentral, here the Indeginous Christian population is from 80-90%. It's the settlers here from the North that wants to make it appear as if the region has many Muslims. In Plateau everyone knows the presence of the Muslims here is negligible, in Nasarawa it's the settlers that are ruling the state that wants to make it appear as if they are many here, the Indeginous population who are many are mainly Christians, in Kogi state more than 50%, in Kwara a significant number of the Indegine are Christians, in the FCT, this is just like it's obtainable in Nasarawa, in Benue 90-95% are Christians.

In the Southwest region, apart from Osun, Oyo and Ogun that has close to 50% of Muslim population the others are mainly Christians.

It's only the Eastern Region (the so called South South and Southeast) that have a great semblance of a homogenous religion in Christianity in the country, the Indeginous Muslims here are negligible making the settlers Muslims to even have a more obvious presence than the Indeginous Muslims. Only Edo have have quite a number of Indeginous Muslims but they are still few...

When a proper census and data is collected across the country you will be marveled but for those of us that have at least traveled and did some courses around the population of this country can testify.

Christians are majority in this country.
