A Nigerian mother has opened up about the painful experience that changed her life forever — after her one-year-old son developed cerebral palsy during a supposed “deliverance session” at her husband’s church.

In a video that’s now making rounds online, the woman recounted how it all began as a normal prayer session. She said her son, who was just a year and four months old at the time, was next in line when the pastor suddenly claimed that the boy had a big star and was “chained by the enemy.”

According to her, the pastor insisted that a deliverance must be done immediately.
During the process, the woman said the pastor turned her little boy upside down — and that was the moment everything changed.
Right after the act, her son reportedly began having seizures. The seizures became frequent and later led to a brain injury, which doctors diagnosed as cerebral palsy.

She revealed that since that day, her life has never been the same.
The mother explained that caring for her son has been extremely tough — emotionally, physically, and financially. She said her husband, who was a member of the same church, abandoned them when their child turned two years old.

When asked if her husband remarried, she said she heard he already has another wife and has moved on with his life.

This is a very serious condition caused by brain damage. This brain damage results from shaking a baby vigorously and disrupting normal blood supply in the brain.
Throwing a baby 'up and down' is also very risky as it can lead to brain damage in babies.

The kind of rubbish we see these days in the name of deliverance is unbelievable.

A pastor once prescribed crude oil (actual petroleum) for someone to use as body lotion to "repel agents of Satan." The person was told to keep using it until it finished, the amount in the bottle could easily last two years.

The kind of suffering people now endure because of pastors knows no bounds. Imagine a pastor battling subtle schizophrenia, such a person is more dangerous than the devil himself. Many of them are just sweet talkers and vision fabricators in the business of pastorpreneurship.

They lie so often that it becomes second nature. Eventually, their brains begin to register their own lies as truth.

I'm sure a Nigerian doctor told her the pastor caused it because the pastor lacked the medical expertise to diagnose what caused the celebral palsy, the blame was transferred to the pastor.

@ topic .... I don't think Cerebral Palsy can be caused by holding a child upside down. I was waiting to hear if the child was dropped on his head ...or maybe shaken violently which can cause some brain damage ... but CP?...I don't think so. I do admire her commitment.... but sh will need help to manage him. Be b st bet is to find a home for such persons .... man that's a for life . I see them everyday and feel sorry for their caretakers ....to me ... it's ten times worse than taking care of a ne born baby, Can you imagine som have to wear helmets?

Any woman wey carry church for head, avoid her. What kind of deliverance involves turning a child upside down? A 16 month old baby at that? That turning upside down was violently done to the point that it caused a brain injury in that child. Now she has to live with the consequence for life.

While close to 80% of cerebral palsy happens before birth and the child develops symptoms much later, turning a child upside down violently, can cause brain bleeds or injury. This is a toddler after all. And you know how rough these pastors can be when they are doing whatever it is they think they are doing in the name of deliverance.

Cerebral palsy is caused by injury to the brain which could be as a result of deprivation of oxygen to the brain or trauma to the brain. There's Asian rare type of malaria that causes brain damage leading to cerebral palsy. Turning the baby upside down and possibly shaking him vigorously could have led to injury to the brain.

Don't believe everything you see on social media. This woman is a big liar. I know her, her name is chidima chukwu. she is from mbaise in imo state. That boy suffered complications during child birth due to the hospital negligence which led to his current condition.
What she does is professional online begging with that boy. She has a car and lives in a nice house.
Anytime she wanna come online she will barb low cut and look innocent then she'll spin a sob story making the man look bad while in reality the man has been taking care of her and that boy rented a house and furnished it for them, he has been asking her to give the boy to his family and move on with her life but she blatantly refused.
Each time she does something like this she gets millions in donations, since she gave birth to that boy she has refused to work, she just uses the boy for content. She currently has another daughter for another man.
