Lol. Been a while, Sir.

Let me reiterate my opinion :

• Plasterboard has a paper layer which makes it combustible while POP is practically nonflammable.
• POP is tedious to install (can be really messy & take more time) while Plasterboard is easy to install (clean & quick installation)
• POP is structurally stronger because it becomes solid overtime after casting while plasterboard strength depends on the frame not the panel itself.
• if building settles POP can crack easily while plasterboard is less prone to cracks.

This is why POP installation requires a professional who knows their onions (Highly skilled Contractor/Artisan/Labour).
Anyone who has an understanding of plasterboard framework & has only trained for a few weeks or even a week can install plasterboard.

NB : POP and Plasterboard both have their pros & cons.
My opinion is based on my experience, which is a practical analysis.

I can always recommend both materials based on context to my clients.

Yes incase of life span.... POP is your best bet. ✓
but has to be installed in the right conditions, POP is not tolerant of water after installation. Please ensure your roof doesn't have even the slightest leak & that your decking doesn't absorb water.

My very first nairaland client called yesterday about floor paint current price and asking on behalf of a friend she recommended me to.
I used the opportunity to ask the condition of her floor paint and she said it held aside from the small parts that peeled at the early stage. We did floor painting much later after doing a couple buildings painting.
I recall this was over 7 years ago and I used the opportunity to ask the very first client from here that I did the water based floor paint for how his own floor was and he told me it held except places the concrete failed. I suspected the other peeled one was due to failure of the floor too.
Going through the post of the application, I noticed it was since over 11 years and the same elderly painter did the floor washing and paint application.
I stopped the much cheaper water based floor paint due to some complaints of peeling even though I always maintained the person that did the application didn't do proper floor preparation to avoid dusty surface and ensure proper adhesion.
I don't post anything relating to communication with clients out of privacy but I would edit to protect privacy and show proof of durability of the floor paint.
I am encouraged to continue the water based floor paint back with instructions not to use on floor with water issue and ensure proper sweeping and washing and allowing to dry before application. Instructions only matured and calm person could adhere to without supervision.
