The origin of Yorubas 2faced identity started when they started having Yoruba Muslim and Yoruba Christian… Yoruba culture before the invasion of the fulanis had rich history and culture, as old and rich as the Benin, but immediately they lost the old Oyo dynasty (empire) , their two faced life started… you can’t be hot and cold at the same time, it’s either you’re a Christian or Muslim, you can’t be practising both and still remain upright or have integrity or love for your fellow humans. That you’ll see a Muslim father and a Christian mother started in Yoruba land… that’s the genesis of the bigotry you see among them. They’ll see it as been sophisticated but it’s a lapse that they’ve refused to correct… They dilute the Islam that fulanis practice, that’s why they’re still seen as inferior to the Usman Danfodio crusade. |
