Breaking: Sheikh Gumi has fled to Turkey.

We have received reports that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, a controversial Islamic cleric, a terrorist sympathizer and self-acclaimed negotiator for armed groups, has fled Nigeria ahead of the anticipated U.S. military intervention over the ongoing genocide against Christians in Northern Nigeria.

BREAKING: Nigerian Troops Crush Boko Haram in Borno 86 Hostages Freed, 29 Terrorist Suppliers Nabbed, Camp Wiped Out🔥✊

In a decisive blow to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have successfully rescued 86 kidnapped victims and arrested 29 logistics suppliers during coordinated counter-terrorism operations in Borno State.

The daring mission, led by troops of the 135 Special Forces Battalion under Sector 2 OPHK, unfolded on 9 November 2025, after troops intercepted intelligence that terrorists were abducting civilians along the Buratai–Kamuya Road.

The soldiers ambushed the insurgents at Dutse Kura, chased them toward Mangari, and overpowered them in a fierce encounter that forced the terrorists to flee, abandoning their captives and weapons.

Following a sweep of the area, troops uncovered 11 makeshift terrorist hideouts and freed 86 kidnapped men, women, and children. Recovered items included an AK-47 rifle, 5 magazines with 73 rounds of ammunition, PKT belts, motorcycles, tricycles, and several civilian vehicles. The terrorists’ camp was subsequently demolished in place.

In a related operation at Mangada, troops intercepted 29 logistics suppliers en route Chilaria, seizing 2 pickup vans, a tricycle, 1,000 litres of petrol, medical supplies, gun truck tyres, and food provisions intended for terrorist elements.

Remarkably, no casualties were recorded among Nigerian troops during the operations.

Commending their gallantry, the Military High Command praised the troops for their professionalism and urged them to maintain pressure on terrorists, ensuring they are denied any freedom of action in the North East.
