When driving, people have this attitude of " If u Don overtake me, u Don overtake me for life be that " when driving.

Most of the car bashings you see on the road are caused by this attitude. Although some motorists can really be annoying, but the need to always want to claim right dey cause most accidents involving plenty drama.

Me I just don't see the sense in dragging right of way with all these kekeguys who are almost always broke .

Around February this year I was inside Uber on the way to the airport. That was how Uber guy just foolishly tried to pass a T-junction at the same speed he was coming without slowing down. Unfortunately for him, one guy wanted to merge into the road with his Lexus RX 350.

Na so the Lexus guy ram into our vehicle by the driver's side and condemned the door right there. My Uber guy that refused refused to slow down at the junction now has his day messed up. The Lexus guy accepted liability to fix the Uber and asked him to follow him to his mechanic ; but my guy's day was already ruined.

I had to end the trip and order another Uber and was at the risk of being late for my flight. I left them there sorting themselves Sha.

My wife who was in the Uber with me was sympathetic with the Uber guy but I told her the Uber guy was the fooolish one. The Lexus guy apparently just bought the vehicle and isn't skilled at driving yet, but if our own Uber guy had just exercise little patience by slowing down he won't be spending the whole day having his car fixed.
What common sense could have prevented,i sabi my right ain't always the answer.

He'll likely wax that car after being hit, that's if the glass ain't affected.

True.

Lagos driving is crazee, they're the exact opposite of what you stated.grin

Highest they give you cash at hand or plead,i wonder if people actually takes it far with them.
The 1st time i went back home after several years, my dad came to pick me, but his driver was driving. I counted several traffic infractions by the guy, other drivers, keke, bike riders, pedestrians, all within a few minutes of leaving the airport. I just stopped looking around after a while.

I no fit drive for that place again.

I noticed roads were not lined and you just create your own lane as you go. Though it has been like this before I left but now it looked odd that roads are not lined

Roads not lined. Drivers not abiding by standard rules and regs, Okada overtaking on both sides at speed, Keke joining traffic from parked position willy nilly, hawkers and other pedestrians weaving through traffic like peak Messi. It looked like playing FIFA video game at Legendary level.

I don't know the state of governance in Cross Rivers state because I'm not familiar with happenings over there. I believe Someone like dis.stroy in a better position to speak on state of affairs in Cross river than any other person here.

If he thinks cross river is not better off than Edo under Monday, I will take his word for it.
Cross River is better off than Edo under Monday. The reason Cross River is downplayed is because, based on the trajectory of development Donald Duke had set her on pre-2007, she was suppose to be even better than Akwa Ibom, but Imoke happened to her and down hill with successive Governors who couldn't match Duke's strides while Akpabio happened to the latter. That was the turning point.

But Edo is worse off under Monday.

Cross River's problem is also its ethnic groups - too many. Ikom LGA alone has 17 ethnic groups so a lot of in-fighting stifling development.

The thing go just shock u seeing Danfos driving without both side mirror and merging into ur lane from nowhere grin grin grin

Even we wey dey experience am almost every day, the thing can be really frustrating at times. The one that is worse is when danfo go dey pick passenger in front of Traffic warden (because they pay them daily) and they will be blocking u coming behind them without any remorse.

Even when roads are lined, many motorists straddle two lanes and act like there is no line there. Driving in Lagos (particularly mainland) can be real madness.

The funny thing is when they drive rubbish like that, they will still end up cussing u grin grin grin

I think most people in Lagos assume whether u are right or wrong in ur driving, u must cuss the other person out loudly in order for you not to appear as the one in the wrong.

Maybe if you stop being deceitful or being a bigot.

It's in order for Blueraydick to ask of people's opinions about issues in Anambra but he must not be asked about his views on Anambra election.

You must be the one to always call the shot concerning issues pertaining to the East, while you poke your noses on issues regarding Ekiti, Lagos, Kastina and do the mockery. You guys can't conceal your agenda for long.

If na Lagos dey do election you go see LP spread chest say dem want good for Lagos that they dont want for Anambra
There's no such thing as LP as a movement. I still have an email of initiating registration on their website then refusing to follow it through.

LP doesn't exist as a movement. It was basically a beneficiary of a man with a cult following, Peter Obi, who platformed the party.

Everything was basically about installing Peter Obi and the movement was willing to cut deals - vote APC or PDP at lower tiers while voting LP aka Obi at the Presidential level.

It had no structure other than the bonding wax Obi was to it. How many people collapsed their structures for the LP?

Whereas from 2012 to 2014, people collapsed structures and parties merged to form the APC.

It also explains the reason many parties (including the ADC) were wooing Obi to join them.

The initial traction the ADC got was because everyone thought Obi was frontlining it, supporters and opposers alike. It's now obvious Obi isn't fronting it.

Now nobody bothers about the ADC. Bayo Onanuga no longer gets caustic disparaging the ADC's moves or trolling them...until Obi frontlines any party.

There's no such thing as LP. It was shuttle - a connecting vehicle - on our journey to where we envisage those who'd take Nigeria to where we hope she'll get to. A long, daunting journey thriving on hope.

Just saw this. This was literally how APC started, there were literally folks coming to my house to preach to me about what APC will do and not do, tbh there are similarities. They claimed they want the betterment of Nigeria and want to rid the country off corruption.

That very same guy that was always disturbing me with his crew was rewarded and he's doing the exact same things he claimed APC want to rid the country off.

With the way these obidients are moving, I'm 100% certain most of them just want to get into power and chop, they don't give a fvck about the betterment of Nigeria. They just want to replace APC folks the same way APC folks wanted to replace PDP folks.

As I say everything in Nigeria is trying to kill you

Even the smooth federal road they put up as evidence of good governance that took me from Ogoni to Akwa-Ibom had dividers that were jagged. If you drive in a straight line and lose focus for 1 second, you will hit a divider jutting out of nowhere.

Hope is the only reason we get out of bed.

Hope is the only reason we endure and can live through the shit storm of malfeasance that has become the norm in this country.

Hope is the only reason we are even debating about Nigeria getting better else we'd just give up and let everything go to waste.

Hope. Don't stop hoping. Living is all in the head.smiley
