I think banishing them to Jos is a good punishment because it makes it difficult for their fans to ever try such again. And those few fans would not be able to carry out such attacks against any opposing team's players because they won't have the numbers and mind to try that at a base far away from their home ground.

In that video, what I see at best is the player having an object thrown at him which caused him the injury on his neck.
