Thanks to feminists, child rape cases that were swept under the carpet like Ochanya's own are being resusticated. There was never a time Nigerians took rape accusations serious. Ned recalled having sent about 250million to her mum. Imagine what he would have done for her and her siblings just for the mom to have benefited that much! 20 and 17 are not mates. under normal circumstances, 17 has just finished secondary school while 20 is already in 200 or 300 level in the university. It is customary for Sanusi to have married an 18. Even at that, have you ever heard of any such drama from his domain? Even Okoya's youngest wife has never made any dramatic public appearance like Regina did.

The fact remains that she was not well trained! She lacks manners and has no respect for elders or any institution.

By the way, where is her father? I learned the father was not even consulted when Ned wanted to marry her! That's an abomination in any Nigerian culture.

Even the 17 is disputed because that was not the age Ned married her. It got changed as things went awry.

The father kicked against the marriage, and rightfully, both parents should give consent to any of their child getting married. A disapproval from one party is enough to decline the marriage intent.
