raumdeuter:The Obi movement really took shape in May 2022. 10 months later, he had 6 million votes - less than 2.5 million votes margin compared to the tallies of the structured, decade-long-existing parties. If an unstructured platform could pull that much in just 10 months, imagine what him headlining a structured one can do in 2 years? The answer is why Bayo Onanuga and others became jittery when Obi flirted with the ADC 2 years to the elections. |

raumdeuter:Well, this is ironic - playing down on the efficacy of hope to drive improvements we seek, considering the man whose badge you have on literally has "Renewed Hope" as his slogan. Are you saying, kind sir, that you knew Renewed HOPE was a sham yet supported it? Wow! |

raumdeuter:Is that a picture of an Imam laying hands on Peter Obi? |

raumdeuter:So, i hope Spy360 will retract those insults he hurled on Pastor Adeboye after seeing this, as a 'respected elder brother'. Trust me those other Obidients that joined him in the insult, as usual will skip this your post. No decency. |

DissTroy:The bold sounds like See what coach X achieved without money, Now imagine what he can do with money spent. We have seen that in football those do not work or actually fail miserable Its been almost 3yrs since the last election, Do you think the Obidient movement is growing stronger or weaker as at today. They have given him 3yrs plus to build the structure now and what has he done Bayo Onanuga job is to attack any perceived opponent, especially in ADC when it seem likely that an Atiku 6m votes might be coming together with an Obi 6m votes. How much structure has he built? Where are the Legislators who won through his movement |

DissTroy:Like I said there is Hope and there is fantasy. The man who campaigned on renewed hope has his plans, templates, he has legislators, governors that buy into his polices and agendas. He has laid down plans to make the hope a reality. (Like the guy who wants to japa, has his passport, has done IELTS and evaluated transcripts and gotten a high score) verses a man living in fantasy land, No plans to get governors, no plans to get senators, his legislators are already deserting him, his spokesman Kenneth Okonkwo already called his followers Ekukes, lose every guber election, his own is just to come in every Presidential election |

Theflint1:I am not sure laying of hands is an Islamic doctrine, He has done as much as he could with pushing religions, Laid hands on him in churches, declare religious war towards the election, then go and sit in mosques for endorsement |

airmark:Forgive my highly respected elder brother. I understand he can be emotional and as an Arsenal fanatic (I wont like to say delusional). You need a lot of patience with him, He has been Wenger in and Wenger out, Emery in and Emery out, Arteta in and Arteta out So he goes through the highs and lows of emotions. You have to be patient with him , he is just deceived by Nnamdi Kanu propaganda |

raumdeuter:If the Obi Movement is growing stronger? We'll truly know during elections, wouldn't we? That's when the powers that be realized it was more than "Three people tweeting in a room". But here's what I can tell you for certain: After the fiasco of 2023, people have been demoralized; young people especially. If you tell a young person to get ready to vote, they'd be pissed off. The drop in the votes after the Presidential results were announced and in the subsequent off-season elections are proof. Tinubu announcing Amupitan who is, you know, doesn't help either. The iREV, the alternate skipping of the Electoral Act's dictates... People are demoralized and there's voter apathy. But 2027 is a long time in politics so... Well, I refuse to just give up. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 7:25pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
raumdeuter:Well, I agree to the bolded. Vote-buying has been institutionalized in violation of the Electoral Act, 2022. Governors who change results at collation centres get ministerial appointments. verses a man living in fantasy land, No plans to get governors, no plans to get senators, his legislators are already deserting him,He had no legislators to begin with. They were riding on the tide of his momentum to power. And some did. That's why a lot of us even on this thread weren't excited about their candidacies. his spokesman Kenneth Okonkwo already called his followers Ekukes, lose every guber election, his own is just to come in every Presidential electionHis spokesperson was an opportunist who was looking to jet cruise to national power as a Presidential Chief of Staff. He's said a thousand contrasting things about different people. Since we are weighing the flippancies of supposed spokespersons as weighty enough, let's rewind to Daniel Bwala and Reno Omokri said about their present boss, no? Nigeria has been tagged a now-disgraced country by the most powerful man in the world whose words alone crashes markets and depletes stocks. Guess who was in charge of Nigeria when we got this mocking label? Hint: His name doesn't start with "P" or "O". We'll find a party, we'll find a way. Who's to say a merger can't happen by next year? Nothing seemed to happen in 2021 then 2022 Obi's candidacy became the hottest in the country. |

DissTroy:There have been multiple elections since 2023 election which Obi endorsed candidates and I don't think there has been anyone who finished 2nd in any of the off cycle elections Many of those who helped Obi have defected. Lets see how things play out in the next few months. Its about 16months to presidential election and a long time in politics |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 7:35pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
raumdeuter:Multiple elections like the one which brought Monday of Edo State to power where they were cases of overvoting but all dismissed under the albatross of "technicalities"? Most RNC Chieftains and elected officials didn't publicly endorse DJT in the run-up to 2016, but when he won, they switched allegiance from the Bush-controlled wing to his. This was a candidate of a major party. The votes have to count first. At least it did in DJT's case in 2016 being the "outsider". Can we say the same of ours here? You and I know the answer. And that's why the voter apathy has worsened since February 2023. |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by raumdeuter: 7:56pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
DissTroy:At least DJT joined a party that had a structure he didn't go to Green party. Since DJT entered, he has been trying to support candidates for every level of election whether Senate Governorship that will help his agenda, DJT is not just focused on his own election while ignoring those who will help him govern. Unlike Obi |
| Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 8:09pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
raumdeuter:You are agreeing with me. The power of incumbency. DJT was focused squarely on his election in 2016. Even his VP pick, Pence, seemed to be an afterthought he kept dismissing until late. You know this. He endorsed Olumide. Even the other main candidates worn. Now, please tell, will any Governor have gotten away with changing final polled results in DJT's clime like Gov. Wike did? There in lies the problem. When you vote and the someone can get away with rewriting results. Or when an election tribunal keeps invalidating all of the cases of malpractice brought before it under the guise of technicality. As it stands today, if I clearly manipulated an election or rigged it, and my opponent joins Joash Ojoo Amupitan, the INEC Chairman, in the case, the Election Tribunal can dismiss it citing technicalities of his middle name having only two"o" instead of three. No grounds to amend what could have been a clerical error even by the court. Just technicality, court dismissed, we trend hashtags on X then we move on. These are the issues. |

raumdeuter:That line of argument some Obidients keep recycling doesn’t survive basic logic. How exactly is Obi supposed to execute a sweeping agenda without legislators? Their magic explanation is that once he wins, lawmakers will automatically decamp to his party. Unless he bullies them (which would make him exactly like the politicians they claim he’s different from) nobody is leaving their machinery for him. If you spend time around the actual political elite you'll know they generally don’t see him as someone with enough weight to reorder their loyalties, they see him as a small boy. Even Trump understood this reality. He worked, and is still working to get ideologically aligned candidates elected into Congress because he knows you can’t govern alone. Reform requires a Legislature that shares your vision, not wishful thinking and social media vibes. |

It's safe to say Gumi took after his own father. I won't be surprised if his own son currently in army also took after him in ideology and view of the world.
