It should be a country on its own or better still countries of their own maintaining peaceful neighborhoods.

That data is totally WRONG! Say the number of reported abductions because the first thing kidnappers tell their victims is not to contact the police. Many abductions go unreported.

These are the number of kidnappings in a week or for a month?
Looks like the press is desperate to subdue facts and do violence to the truth just to paint a picture that everything is OK.

They are kidnapping people left and right around that Bendel to Abuja road, everyday, and you say 4 people in the whole month Use that road today and you maybe kidnapped before the end of the day..

Unreported cases in northern Nigeria as well

IMO state alone had more than 6 I know of. This month alone, someone I know was kidnapped since Saturday. Data in Nigeria is a mess because the government doesn’t use them. The reason why it is not used is because we are largely ruled by illiterates or uneducated literates.

The southwest propaganda. If it was to brag about how sophisticated the SW is they would blow these numbers of kidnapping in the SS & SE into the hundreds of thousands. Now see how they reduced just to lie there is no genocide

This statistic about the South East is misleading. Kidnapping has long become a normalized menace in the region, especially in Anambra State. It evolved into an organized business as far back as Peter Obi’s tenure as governor. Today, many wealthy individuals and businessmen from the region have sadly accepted it as part of life, which is why those living outside the South East rarely return home like they used to.
