Time to take a break. So many other trainings etc opening up but I’m not joining.

Done with Altschool. Not graduating though, don’t care either.

AWS Restart ends tomorrow. Those labs were quite intensive. And I’ve noticed my weak points are the database and python aspects. I need to grasp them more deeply.

I’ve been saying I’ll write certifications since. Now I must write it by fire by force. It’s good though, my AWS practitioner cert just expired last month. Will renew it with this exam and take a shot at the AWS Solutions architect certification also.

Will dedicate next month to that. Been sending resumes also. Just testing.

At the end of all this I am dedicating one month to doing nothing intensive. Abeg. Just chill, enjoy and explore some of the online courses I’ve bought down.

Nvidia dey look for Cloud and hardware engineer they are willing to pay for H-1B visa unlike others. All the things you need is to exceed moorse's law and be consistent. The problem is that you will be up all night connect servers and troubleshooting it .

More benefits go to their career page

Cheap and nice location doesn’t go together in IB my guy, Beere is cheap but na better trenches. Apata side is cheap also but far.

ologunerun, and most places after tipper garage na die. Big big cheap houses but water, road and light get comma

Akingbade, Elebu, some parts of Akobo are good but hardly come cheap.

Jericho is very expensive but I don’t know about the extension.

Bodija seems to have light issues in some areas.
Akala express dey okay, Iwo road is good. Iyana church also.

Depending on what you really want, Just enter tiktok and search. I don see 3bed for 300k sef but bike to main road na like 2500. Imagine. Just do due diligence

I have a Dell latitude 7390 for that amount but it doesn't have a dedicated Graphic card. A dedicated graphic card you mentioned is quite a stretch for that amount, you would need like 450k to get one with 1 or 2 GB of dedicated video memory for your video editing.
InteliJ:
Hello good day boss, hope you're good? I once again appreciate you for that survey update, it's helping pay my little bills. Thank you!

If you don't mind, can you pls recommend a laptop (any brand) with minimium 5-6hrs battery life that can run tech softwares like docker smoothly and maybe have a graphic card for vid editing. Budget is 300k, can stretch to 350k max (will be very hard).

I know my budget is too small for what I'm looking for but pls you know about laptops and can give me good advice. Thank you 🙏

read through, your journey it's inspiring.

from how you started to how you are sustaining your self till now. it's commendable with that said, I feel like you are ripe for your first opportunity, like internship or junior role. what's the issue?

Thanks. It’s not been easy.

True, I’m working towards renewing my CCP and getting the Cloud Solutions Architect certifications. It seems to get you a foot in the door as advised by a friend in the industry. And the recent calls I got from some HR’s kinds of confirms it. They mostly work with requirements.

Meet it and you can get past them to the technical interviews. The ones that are willing to take you for face value mostly want cheap labor.

And I’m also looking for hybrid/fully remote roles also. Location also plays a role too.

We’ll see how it goes eventually. I’m not in a rush

Pearsonvue test software can make you lose your exam if you don’t test it well. Their web assessor software I used last time was perfect. This one is something else. Just go online and read reviews. Dira o! Else!

Wish I had a close circle of people like me. So many opportunities around. And I can’t do everything. But you’ll pay for a course and initial investment for somebody and they’ll just let it abandon it midway because they don’t have the same stubborn drive to succeed or at least fail majestically after trying their best. Both ways will still teach you something.

And I hate that! Damn. I will hold you in mind even if you’re family. Distanced myself from so many friends because of this. Enjoy your self imposed struggles in poverty.

Many poor people want wealth but can’t do the work. Why is it that people like that get opportunities dropped into their laps while the ones that truly need it struggle. Why?

There’s the other type that would succeed and backstab you also. We just avoid each normally. I am not the type that leaves things to God.

Next year, I’m going fully back to my ruthless mode. Already made some people millionaires, more than half of my siblings can comfortably handle life. My babe is learning. I want to really see if the good behaviour reach when she has some good money, Call it ulterior motive, lol. I’ll move on if it casts. Fully prepared. Ain’t marrying a someone who will drag me down later like the majority. Let’s get this money and enjoy life together . My last babe was a confirm hustler but for the streets. This life ehn.

Choosing me next year. Paid all my dues. F that black tax shit!

Don’t think it’s all rosy grin

I skipped to the end of stephane course and tried the test exams. Hmm, Many will and even me will pass it by constant repetition and memorisation of test questions and dumps but I won’t be able to defend it.

This exam requires you to know how many of aws services work together in relation to efficiency, cost and other factors. I literally had to imagine them in my head. Imagine if you never touched the console.

Make I go back to my course biko.

CCNA is networking. Important but not something I intend to go back to. I’m not aiming for a networking role

This is AWS solutions architect. And I already do projects, just do not post them here. Thanks

Good evening boss,

I went through the entirety of your thread and it was awesome (re-reading again). I am currently transitioning into tech. specifically Cybersecurity and DevOps, went through an intensive training in Cybersecurity for a tier 1 bank in the country.

I wish to get your help regarding free courses, certifications and guidance in Devops and also an accountability partner within the short period of time I'll be free before resuming work fully.

I really love your motivation and ginger and wish we could drive this to greater heights.

DevOps is wide man. You have to identify a starting point and go from there since you’re security inclined. The basics are always important though. Check the first page of this thread and the devops roadmap.

For accountability. Depends on how driven you are and how well you know the basics. Still send me a mail, it’s also on the first page.

This is also a good course also

If this Tax law goes effective in 2026 and it’s not cancelled.

Those positioned now will make mad money from registrations , explanations etc.

Learn facebook/social media ads, look for someone knowledgeable about CAC or go through the websites and use AI to explain. Set up social media profiles and start prepping your sales funnels and making yourself seen.

Test run your ads this year and depending on how it goes, go full scale into it. More than 400k per week is sure if you know your onions. You can even make money from referrals/affiliate marketing.

Just created my LLC within some hours myself and it doesn’t look that hard. I have avenues to go indepth and learn from the best but too many things on my plate rn.

DYOR. This is an example of what’s trending on fb tik tok and IG. Even threads to an extent.

Nairaland is sweet to browse this days. Blocked so many profiles.

I wish there was a permanent block button though.

Funny enough, if most of those trolls get less and less engagements. Most of them will drop off naturally. Rage bait is a thing

Bad for business though, great for sanity.

For those messaging me. This is another great founder, think I still mentioned it in my last Product design thread. Funny enough I bought a course from his co founder also.

Check his page out on fb, check twitter too. Test and see if any of their products/courses works for you. Instead of starting out on your own. Use their proven strategies.

Opportunities plentyyyyyy!

Make i go back to my Facebook ads course. I need to upscale and free up more of my time.

Re: 2024 My Journey Into Devops & Cloud Computing by SKhanmi(op): 9:50pm On Dec 03, 2025
For those asking about surveys, If you’re not a crazy driven person or smart to find untapped sites on your own. I don’t advise it. Takes too much time. Average 100-200k per month, if you have unlimited time and can work long hrs multiple sites, 400-800k+

It’s for saving and building yourself up for better opportunities. Unless you can actually get into pro lific or other one month life changing sites where you can make $1k+ monthly. Yes nigerians are on those sites but updates tight.

Choose your poison. I no dey pretend, don’t get links from me and come back and complain. Infact starting from next year. I won’t say anything about it again. It works but it’s hard.

You’re not in the groups I am wey dem dey make millions, I personally know some of this guys and they’re even more crazier than I am. To the extent of landing in the hospital because of their work ethics.

Lifestyle cost na you no know. I started feb, This is Ending. Might reach .5 or 6 before ending.

Re: 2024 My Journey Into Devops & Cloud Computing by SKhanmi(op): 10:13pm On Dec 03, 2025
Using myself as an example. I have other means of income that runs on its own.

I can spend my time on this for the short run, then use the money to buy domains and resell for $100 - $1k plus or upscale my other tested businesses or test run new ones or even fund tech courses. Because frankly it’s not something you want to bank on for long.

The point is to get to the point where you don’t need time consuming stuff like surveys or physical businesses you can’t just monitor.

Either work for money, Make people work for you or make money work for you.

Recognise and categorise opportunities accordingly.

Forget backgrounds or current circumstances .

My first job was as a delivery agent earning commission of 500n per package delivered. Took it because I loved travelling. Dropped it when I couldn’t even afford to buy a small phone after 3months of working.

Let that empty account, anger, debt or frustration push you. Any opportunities you see, milk it like you won’t make heaven.

A man dies the day he stops trying. Ire o.

Re: 2024 My Journey Into Devops & Cloud Computing by SKhanmi(op): 6:28pm On Dec 04, 2025
Sighs. This thread is not even up to 11pages and most didn’t read through.

First page literally contains everything you need to start even a youtube channel . Page 3 has a complete list which I’m going to post again.

Roadmap.sh is there.

Coming to ask me where to start is counter intuitive. This is why I created this thread. Read and follow. Pick one and start.

You go read documentation tire. And if you can’t go through ordinary 10pages. You might want to check another career route. I literally go through threads here on nl with 900+ pages every-time I see something that catches my fancy.

Domain thread, DIY CAC & international passport thread, travel threads etc, I literally start from page 1. And it pays off. Anyway I understand why travel agencies abound, maybe I’ll create one later too.

I do the research. You pay me.
