Aside from the usual “skull mining” incidents in the southwestern states, Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo, most of these so-called ritualists are actually human organ traffickers, largely driven by Fulani criminal networks operating in southern Nigeria

This statistic about the South East is misleading. Kidnapping has long become a normalized menace in the region, especially in Anambra State. It evolved into an organized business as far back as Peter Obi’s tenure as governor. Today, many wealthy individuals and businessmen from the region have sadly accepted it as part of life, which is why those living outside the South East rarely return home like they used to.

In the South even if news paper fails to report some news, you must see it on social media.

Nothing is hidden in the South unlike North.

What happens in core North are under reported.

Kidnappers in the South targets only the rich men. But Northern bandits kidnappes anyone, including farmers and students.

Benue, Taraba, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi and even Nasarawa have nothing in common with the Core North.
They should have been named "Central Nigeria" instead of "North Central" that gave them an affinity more with the north than the south.
