I woke up around 5am to ease myself hoping to go back to sleep afterwards so I can wake up by 7am to prepare for work but suddenly this woman started preaching using an extremely loud megaphone. This went on till around 6am. I wasn't able to go back to sleep until six forty something or there about because of the noise. When I woke up by 7am I was so tired that I just decided to continue sleeping and take the day off.

Now if this were a working country I would have called the police or approach her and tell her to reduce the noise. However, since we're in Nigeria, if I had told her something like that she would have concluded that it's her fire that was burning the "demon in me" and not the excessively loud noise from her megaphone, robbing me of sleep at such early hours that was making me uncomfortable. I wished there's something I could do because she might repeat this again.

One time ago,my neighbor even threatened to arrest a female preacher who woke us up by 5a.m with her megaphone.......She ran for her life,cuz she knew the man wasn't joking with her .

People should learn to be considerate of others...

As a Christian, I have watched an herbalist confront and insult a Christian preacher, preaching on the street in the early hour of the day while coming from all night and I stood there dumbfounded and unable to help.

As a Christian, I think in as much as we need to be heard, we need to learn how to do things moderately, cos I realized that most salvation stories didn’t come from noise but encounter. In all, let us all learn to be tolerant, cos gone are the days when Muslims beats all kinds of drums at the middle of the night, waking everyone during their fasting season like it’s everybody that’s fasting and also those egungun boys flogging everybody on the street like it’s everybody who serves their gods during their festival.

I really dislike those people. It’s called disturbance of public peace. One has been coming around here for years. Didn’t convert a single person, so what’s the point? Most people just turn on gens as a response.

And something about those type of people is they are either emotionally unintelligent and preach based on fear or lived rough nonsense sinful lives before and think that preaching will atone for their guilt. Either way, Banning them from entering your neighbourhood is the best bet

I swear the one way dey pain me pass na those ones wey dey do steady all night with very loud speakers to disturb the entire neighborhood. My brothers and sisters if you never stay with any of those spiricoco (especially mountain of fire) neighbors wey dey do steady cast and bind till day break, na be say you no know waiting God dey do for you.

Feel free to approach her next time, Christianity teaches us to be considerate also. I once went out in the early hours to preach and a man kindly approached me and told me I was disturbing his devotion, I quietly walked away.

This thing annoyed me a lot. The worse part is that they will leave Nigeria politicians that has finished this country and they will start praying fire on family members to be the peoples problem. Religion is not for African we are making joke of it here. I'm tired of the one disturbing me every morning here with heaven and hellfire
