Boko Haram Fighters Attack Chibok Community In Borno, Burn Down Church, Injure Residents

Terrorists suspected to be Boko Haram fighters launched a late-night attack on Pemi village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State, destroying a church building before being repelled by troops of Operation HADIN KAI.

In a brief post shared by a local resident, Zariyi Yusuf, the incident was described as yet another violent assault on the Christian community in Chibok, the same area globally known for the 2014 abduction of schoolgirls by Boko Haram.

This is Chibok, yesterday (on November cool. Boko Haram took down a Church and it’s not even making news. Glory to God, no lives were lost,” Yusuf wrote.

Confirming the attack, counterinsurgency expert Zagazola Makama reported that the terrorists stormed Pemi village around 10:30pm, firing sporadically and injuring two residents.

“The troops of Operation HADIN KAI have successfully repelled attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Pemi Village in Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State,” he said.

According to Makama, the victims, identified as Mallam Bukar, 30, and Yama Sumai, 40, sustained gunshot injuries to the leg and hand respectively.

“The troops in collaboration with other security agencies as well as the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF)/Hunters Group were swiftly mobilized to the scene and successfully repelled the attackers,” he said.

The injured were later evacuated to General Hospital Yola in Adamawa State for treatment, where they are said to be responding well.

This is coming amid calls from the US government warning Nigerian Government to immediately stop ‘Christian Genocide’ in the country.

The Nigerian presidency had also expressed optimism that President Bola Tinubu will soon meet with his American counterpart, Donald Trump, to further strengthen bilateral relations between both countries.

The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Media and Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, stated this on Monday.

He expressed the hope during an interview on Arise Television’s Prime Time.

“I said Tinubu and Trump will hopefully meet, either at the White House or the State House.

“It could happen at any time. In diplomacy, protocol is key. When you’re building something, it must be preserved and protected.

“We will not be pressured into revealing the stage we are at in this discussion because in diplomacy there must be respect for protocol,” Bwala said.

His comments come amid Trump's designation of Nigeria as a country of particular concern and threats of military operation.

The assurance follows earlier remarks made by Bwala in a statement issued on Saturday, November 1, 2025, in which he emphasised that both leaders share a common vision in combating terrorism and protecting humanity from violent extremism.

"Both President @officialABAT and President @realDonaldTrump have shared interest in the fight against insurgency and all forms of terrorism against humanity," Bwala had said.

He noted that the Trump administration had extended significant support to Nigeria’s security efforts, which President Tinubu has effectively built upon.

"President Trump has assisted Nigeria a lot by authorising the sale of arms to Nigeria and President Tinubu has adequately utilised the opportunity in the fight against terrorism for which we have massive results to show for it," the statement added.

Bwala further stated that any perceived differences between the two leaders on the nature of terrorist targets in Nigeria would be addressed during their upcoming engagement.

More evidence to Donald Trump and the Americans.
More evidence to the rest of the world.
Now let’s hear what APC will present as defence. Who knows, they may say that the event took place during the Jonathan days. Reno Omokri and group may blame Peter Obi!

Now, if America decides to come and flush out these terrorists, their sympathisers will start screaming.

Remember it's a CHRISTIAN GENOCIDE
Re: Boko Haram Sets Church On Fire In Borno, Injures Residents by McLizbae:
Even if we start taking fresh record of christian genocide from today (particularly starting with burnt churches), there will still be overwhelming proof of the occurrence, especially in the northern regions. Christian genocide is already an established mission for the perpetrators. The genocide will only stop when the perpetrators are terminated.

Most of the northern leaders are religious bigots, with conscious or unconscious sympathy for jihadists and Islamic terror groups. The current issues may be address better with this fact.

His mistake is that by showing love for his people, he created hatred for another people.

We hate APC because this is the foundation of what they started in 2014 and they are finding it hard to contain it now because it has boomerang.

The Jihadists has doubled down to prove they have no regard for the FG and the military. Anyone still against US help to address this genocide is an enemy of the state and should be treated as a terrorist

The best thing for Nigerians is to come together and remove this Tinubu of a man.

It's very obvious that he lacks the capacity to stop this terrorist activities.

He is very old let him go and play with his grandchildren while we look for better younger options.

You can imagine how he rushed to Sokoto to dine with his master, Sultan of Sokoto in a secret meeting. Why would he go to meet that devil incarnate? They all know what they’re doing. They all sow the seeds together, not it’s time for harvest. Their cups are filled.
