All the idiots replying above didn't bother to read properly. Natural activity, like a minor quake or landslide, caused the bridge to collapse, not any shoddy work on the bridge itself.

I'm shocked .... how soooo many will read the headlines and jump to conclusions then rush to comment without reading the details. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the structure of the bridge that caused the collapse and regardless who built the bridge...the result would've been most likely the same.

From the Video it is obvious that the Bridge collapsed as a result of landslide from the surrounding mountains where the bridge had some Beams/Pillars.

In my institution, we recently had a building collapse while it was still under construction. It wasn’t due to poor-quality materials; the real issue was that the land and soil structure were not suitable for a project of that size. The team leading the project was reprimanded for failing to consult a geotechnical expert before construction began.

By the same logic, for a bridge of this magnitude, one would expect that the surrounding land, rock formations, soil composition, and water bed would have been thoroughly assessed before any work started. Common sense demands that foundational studies like these must be done.
