This is the young man, Lt. Yarima that challenged FCT 001 HE Nwike. The young officer has no respect for constituted authority. This is unacceptable. His uniform should be removed asap.. I stand with HE Wike. He is doing his job. The young officer is standing for someone who claimed he is the owner of the land. Why did the owner ask the young officer to go and defend him? The big Oga would have gone there to tell Wike his own side of the story. Some Nigerians can celebrate anything. A minister of the federal republic of Nigeria is doing his job and one small boy tried to stop him? Arrant nonsense. Make una de play.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1788cizFuN/ What this small boy displayed today has a million meanings. What frightens me is the reactions here. I have been reading what some people are saying here and I get more frightened. Who sent the small boy on this horrible mission? Of what meat is he fed? I am running away with the thinking that those lands were stolen. Take him out of the military asap. He represents evil. He was not well brought up. His so-called bravery is arrant nonsense, full of sound and fury signifying. Take him out . He represents evil. We call this principle of reverse psychology.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1awimidW2G/ Is this young officer the owner of the land? Where is the real owner of the land? He had the audacity and temerity to stand in face to face with a Minister of FCT and we are celebrating the foolish boy who was used as a scapegoat. We play too mush in this country. Let the owner of the land show his face na.https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1ABgXZCpow/

The Senior Special Assistant on Gutter Affairs to the Lagos state governor has spoken. I request to enlighten you, Sir Mr Igbokwe, but a soldier only answers to his superiors in the military and the Commander-in-Chief. Wike is a bloody civilian. |

The country is just in chaos. A military personnel should not in any way be out blocking a minister from carrying out his duties. Nigeria is NOT Pakistan. In the scheme of things, the military is beneath the Executive arm under the constitution and a Minister is senior to even the Chief of Defense staff. So, who is the army guy's boss that sent him to prevent a Minister of the Federal Republic from performing his lawful duties ![]() In a serious country, the military senior that sent the guy to do the hatchet job will be investigated and demoted. But not in Nigeria. No wonder we have attempted coups. |

It is even an impunity for a retired CNS to be ordering a serving military personnel on his personal business. Where did the retired CNS derives his power after retirement |

Ttalk:Lol. Generals don't retire, they just leave active service. A General dies a General. There's a reason why even after speaking to the CDS, the boys weren't asked to stand down. There are levels to this military thing. Wike was not informed but he now knows better. Let me quote the young officer, Lt AM Yerima verbatim, “Sir, I request to enlighten you, there is no such thing as a former Vice Admiral, a Vice Admiral is a Vice Admiral…” |
| Re: Joe Igbokwe On Wike Vs Lt. Yerima: The Young Officer Has No Respect by DeLaRue: 7:56pm On Nov 11, 2025 |
press9jatv:You are incorrect. In the pecking order of seniority, a Minister is even more senior than the Chief of Defense Staff. That is why the Chief of Defense staff is under the Minister of Defense. Military should be in barracks, not dictating to a senior representative of a civilian government whether he can or cannot enter a privately owned piece of land. I hope the government doesn't take this lightly. These are the sorts of excesses that breeds indiscipline in the military. |

At the end of the day, I want to see who would kiss d dust in this scenario(Is it gonna be Wike or Zubairu or Yerima) ..............the most connected figure to Tinubu would win the battle. I am watching |

Igbokwe is right. The officer should be disciplined. |
| Re: Joe Igbokwe On Wike Vs Lt. Yerima: The Young Officer Has No Respect by Ikaeniyan0: 8:03pm On Nov 11, 2025 |
DeLaRue:The military officer is so ignorant, did you see the way he was talking to a police officer sef? When I was in Israel, policemen are more powerful than military men on the street, if a military personnel mess up, he will be arrested by a police officer, no matter the military officer rank. In the USA, military personnel can't arrest a civilian for any offence committed outside a US military base, even if you commit an offence close to thier base, they will call the police to com and arrest the person. Military rule don really mess up Nigeria |
| Re: Joe Igbokwe On Wike Vs Lt. Yerima: The Young Officer Has No Respect by DeLaRue: 8:05pm On Nov 11, 2025 |
unclejb2:What about them. Are they above the law. Any retired military personnel, however senior, can be charged, arraigned before a court of law, and slammed in prison if found guilty of committing an offence under the laws of this country. I am not even commenting on whether Mr Wike's office is right or wrong regarding the said land, as i don't really know the facts. But I am repulsed that people queued under the sun, persevered with great discomfort, and in some cases some lost their lives just to exercise their democratic rights to vote, then one un-appointed, and -unelected retired military person will sit in his house and defy a Minister in such a public way in a civilian government ![]() |

olisaEze:If a military officer disrespect Alex Otti or Peter Obi, I hope you won't be calling Nigeria a zoo. Obidients only complain about illegality when it affects a politician they like, when it affects Obi or the LP, you guys will start crying to the US, UK, EU, AU, ICC etc Well, I know the table will soon turn and I will remind una of this una support for this illegality when the time come |

| Re: Joe Igbokwe On Wike Vs Lt. Yerima: The Young Officer Has No Respect by richmond500: 8:23pm On Nov 11, 2025 |
DeLaRue:You are wrong, chief of defence staff is under the minister of defence and he report to him. This means that, politically and administratively, the Minister of FCT outranks the CDS because all ministers are part of the President’s cabinet. However, Operationally in military terms, the CDS has command power over all military personnel, including those stationed in the FCT. So if there’s a security issue, the Minister of FCT cannot order soldiers directly, he must work through the President or Minister of Defence, who in turn gives instructions to the CDS. |

| Re: Joe Igbokwe On Wike Vs Lt. Yerima: The Young Officer Has No Respect by fergie001(mod): 8:24pm On Nov 11, 2025 |
AMINDA:The Service Chiefs will be on call now with AVM Gambo laughing at Wike. When the FCT man said former Vice Admiral, he was corrected immediately, a Vice Admiral is a Vice Admiral, nothing like former ![]() Nigeria is not a straight line. The respect and discipline in the military is top-notch. Gambo is 36RC and the present CDS is 39 or 40, you know how many times he must have saluted Gambo? If the CDS wanted to budge, when Wike called him, he could have ordered those boys to leave but he didn't, there is a reason why. As it stands today, only Tinubu as GCFR can order those soldiers to stand down and he won't. There is already a failed coup, once it gets to the Barracks, that a Wike pre-empted an entry on the property of a former CNS, the discontent won't be funny, it will be double the trouble he presently has. So, the Tinubu I know will look away. If Wike likes, he can visit there a million times, if Tinubu, through the CDS doesn't order those boys to stand down, they will remain there. The reason why the young officer told him straight up, they are under orders. |
