Who told you the military officer owns the land? The FCT is responsible for allocating land and no one else. If FCT officials say the guy has no authentic allocation paper, then that’s final. They own the land. Nobody has the power to use the military to stop officials of the Federal Capital Territory Administration from carrying out their legitimate duties. In fact, those naval boys should be arrested and prosecuted immediately.

A lot of the random posters here are rambling on praising this young Naval officer without realizing that they are encouraging indiscipline outright indiscipline in the military. It's what Lt. Yerima said that triggered Nyesom Wike while the young officer kept on replying him. BUT the famed, hardworking transformer of the FCT (Nyesom Wike) too has to learn to comport himself so that in the tables are NOT turned against him by uninformed public opinions and a section of the media whenever he loses his temper.

That almost went south. We would have been telling another story now.
The situation should have been better handled by senior man FCT emperor. He shouldn't have descended so low into a shouting match with the young officer. He should have stepped back, and talked with someone on his own level, who has the authority to rescind whatever last order the officer was standing upon.
If memory serves me right even the once dreaded Sgt Rogers got away with a lot because he was only obeying orders.

He ought to be court marshalled ..he and who ever game him the order ...the minister is senior in rank to his own chief of naval staff.a Governor is much more high ranking in civilian Government than a chief of army staff ..his equivalent is the minister of Defense..who the chief of defense staff still reports to..this is totally wrong and should be dealt with . soldiers has no say in civil matters especially land .

Wike made jest of himself. Ofcourse, he knows th soldier wasn't there of his own accord. He just wanted to show himself unnecessarily nd got the response he deserved unnecessarily. He could have simply approached it differently. Thats a difference between a power drunk minister and a smart nd wise one. An intelligent minister wouldn't even engaged the minute the soldier said he was following orders. He would have told the dss nd all the security apparatus he went with to find out who that oga that gave the order is abd waiy for him when he comes to the ministry. That only tells me that the CDS needs to resign. As simple as that. His conduct in this incident has spoken volumes. Nothing will change in the fight against terrorism. Our NSA doesn't know his job too. When we are serious, we will change this country. I'm yet to see that seriousness, except in the FCT Minister, and I commend him for his courage. A whole CDS doesn't know the law. Shame!
