We all know the current CDS and CNS who are juniors to the ex-CNS (whom the officer was following his order) would not side with Wike. The fact that the CDS didn't even order the officer to vacate the premises during the phone call says a lot.

Wike has disgraced himself and that is that. He will forever live with that fact and the officer will grow in his military career if not for anything, the restraint and discipline he showed in that video will propel his career. So many senior men would want him to serve in their unit, he's a potential great leader.

The thing about this case is everyone is choosing a party to side with and that's not really a problem actually. The problem is choosing a side and trying to make it look as if the side u choose is right while the other side isn't.

Wike is asking for documents and the guy claimed it has been sent to the FCTA. If the FCTA felt there are issues with the document why didn't they write through official channels to that effect?

If the FCTA which Wike heads wanted to carry out official duty of taking over the property, they should be going to that premises with a court order which empowers them to do that.

Instead, Wike in his usual manner stormed the premises with over 50 policemen with the intent he could forcefully take over the property and carry out demolitions even when there are subsiding court processes on the matter.

There have been allegations of Wike revoking allocation documents and using his office to grab lands even when there are cases on the particular matter in court.

He may use that uslesas line of "carrying out legal duty" against helpless civilians and it will work out for him, but he has met his match with the military boys who are strategic and can match him illegality for illegality, force for force and rascality for rascality.

Nigerian's have still not understood that military officials are subject to civil law within civil spaces, and cannot be seen to be obstructing government officials from performing jobs within their jurisdiction.

If it was a normal civilian, and not a military person with guns to fight Wike and his goons, what would you recommend they do in this situation?

Would you tell them to grandstand, and be telling government officials performing their duties to go and write through official channels before they'd obey a "STOP WORK" order?

I mean Wike and his goons are the official channel in question , and if the military guys have issues with their interpretation of the law, it's to escalate or take to another official channel that would give them listening ear...not to grandstand.

Deji is saying most banks are no longer accepting land title documents as collateral anymore because of the rubbish Wike is doing with revoking people's land documents at will.

You can own a land today, use it for loan collateral and Wike will wake one morning to revoke the title to the land and the bank's collateral goes up in the air like smoke!
