Buratai shut d hell up! No one is above d law. .he must be punished if found guilty. In certain cases, a soldier can be tried in civilian courts. . |

Let it be clear, All over the world, The military is a government on its own. They are not subject to civil authorities... They have their court, police and other institutional structures. If you have issues report them to military authorities and they will be discipline. That is why they can wake up and overthrow civil political leadership(even duly elected) and there is nothing you can do. The Judiciary knows this very well. But they will not tell you in open. They only obey one person in the country, The C-in-C. Let it sink... Wike is just a bloody civilian. He is very lucky to leave that place without a bloodied nose. He is lucky to be alive. For his safety next time, tell him not to try that mess again, he may not come out alive. He showed he was the biggest fool. |

The only one and simple thing Wike should have asked for is his superior. And that solves it. You dont say he was still is secondaru school bla bla bla...that sounded not so mature in conversation emnanating from Wike. |

The quality of personnel in the Nigerian military (both present and past) is very low. How does Wike arguing with a military officer a threat to national security? Also, this non. sense of army officers using military personnel as private guard needs to end. A soldier will buy land, plant cassava on the land, and put "Military Zone-Keep Off", because those illiterates don't know that Military Zones are places where military hardware or equipment are being produced, stored or tested. Back to the subject, Wike had no right to be calling the guy names. That's very uncivilized (just an average Nigerian politician's attitude). The way the guy reacted was appropriate. It showed discipline (military discipline means maintaining composure under great provocation, not the dense idea that you slap your mother if asked to do so by your superior officer). And finally, I know for a certainty the soldier wouldn't have reacted in a civilized manner if Wike were not a government official. |

omoredia:You are missing the point. There are channels to handle Military and Security organization issues. Even the CDS didn't order the Officer out because he wasn't the one the gave him order. How can you call an Officer a fool! Too much |

OgaTheTop2:If the property doesn't belong to the Nigeria navy but an individual who is a personal even if he is an officer is still under the law. It is only in Nigeria that a uniform man feels he is above the law. But he has all the necessary paper work for that land, then wike is the one looking for trouble. |

Newsgeek24:THIS IS A MISSTATEMENT. BURAITAI MUST BE THINKING THAT HE IS STILL SERVING UNDER MUHAMMAD BUHARI. IS HE CONFUSED THAT HE DOESN'T KNOW THAT HE IS VILIFYING THE GOVERNOR OF THE FCT? AND A MINISTER, MUCH MORE THAN A GOVERNOR? BURAITAI MUST BE BANISHED TO NIGER REPUBLIC. |
