But saying a Military should disobey orders because Commissioner of Works or LG chairman showed up is very funny. It cannot happen anywhere
We are saying the official and whoever sent him as no right stopping the Minister from performing his duty. It's as simple as that.

I have said so before.

And I said it is the lawlessness that all of them, including Wike promoted and supported, that is catching up with them.

And if he wasn't hot headed, he didn't have to go there with Channels TV, hoping he would score some dictatorship points from it. Sadly, he met someone who doesn't understand the word "disobedience"

Let them enjoy themselves. My own role is to be entertained

It can never be the same, especially for both parties that are under the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Yes, there can be frictions, but it is handled amicably, and not shouting "Fool"

There is no world that permits a military officer to disobey orders given by a Superior. Even in the USA, it cannot happen. You simply go to his superior to solve the problem.

Whether the construction going on is legal or not, is another issue. We both have no information on that.

But saying a Military should disobey orders because Commissioner of Works or LG chairman showed up is very funny. It cannot happen anywhere
In the US that you quoted, you think a former navy chief can deploy soldiers for such useless purposes? Even current navy chief can't pull such stunt in the US.

Military this military that, the same clowns that can't deal with the bandits ravaging the north? Those guys are supposed to be fighting terrorists not protecting land.

Facts.

BlueRayDick:
Wike said “I have spoken to the Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff. They assured me that the matter will be resolved. We’re not here to have a shootout with anybody or cause chaos,”.

We all know the current CDS and CNS who are juniors to the ex-CNS (whom the officer was following his order) would not side with Wike. The fact that the CDS didn't even order the officer to vacate the premises during the phone call says a lot.

Wike has disgraced himself and that is that. He will forever live with that fact and the officer will grow in his military career if not for anything, the restraint and discipline he showed in that video will propel his career. So many senior men would want him to serve in their unit, he's a potential great leader.
Fact

He’ll be used as a very good example to others in his rank

Make I hear say him never even enter promotion list

True. Na the lawlessness wey all of them clap for, be that.

He should be in the battlefield, and not protecting lands

It would be determined whether the minister is performing his duty in court, but not on the field

A retired military personnel is illegally occupying a land and instead of providing documents to show ownership decided to send military men to beat up and stop anyone that comes near the land and some clowns here are cheering on the blantant disregard of law..

It's the Minister right to destroy any illegal structure and inspect any land that is suspected to have no approval or appropriate documentation.

Nah! Saham was a political tool of the APC to frustrate Wike and a disgrace to the military by doing the bidding of corrupt politicians, just like Mbu was a political tool of the PDP to frustrate Amaechi and a disgrace to the Police Force by doing the bidding of corrupt politicians. In all of this you can see that the biggest losers were Saham and Mbu, this young man's case is very different he's a military officer under orders from the military, the sensible thing would have been to go through Oluyede and Abbass but instead the Barden Bwari decided to disgrace himself before a boy who was being fed cerelac and Nan milk with Kunu when Ezenwo was battling his law school exams grin

Dey play. General Sarham that was transferred into the State on the orders of Amaechi to do his bidding against Wike. Another Politicians lackey. One phone call from Amaechi and Sarham would have also been redeployed to Borno same way. Soldier only strength lies in working for the ruling party, they are subject to the whims of politicians. No be 2 weeks ago Tinubu retired hundreds and redeployed other hundreds of top officers and nobody cough.

See a whole Leuitenant adding Sir to the end of every sentence when talking to Wike. In time past soldiers from his rank to Major to Colonel have led and been key players in coups, now he is spraying Sir Sir Sir everywhere for a bloody civilian. Military has been really humbled by politicians in Nigeria.

This is reality renovation. A lieutenant is 3rd lowest level of officer in the navy and is not a "whole" but an ordinary. Wike on the other hand is almost at the pinnacle of civilian life and could not move an ordinary lieutenant under a civilian government.

What that ordinary lieutenant did to Wike is the same as a state house of assembly member obstructing a 3-star general under a military regime.

Military might have been humbled generally but in this situation, it was Wiki that was humbled by a very junior officer that was probably not yet in the navy when Wike was first elected governor.

Wike knew who owns the Land.

He just wanted to go there to show himself. Nothing stops him from sending the head of FCDA to go there. I have not seen Sanwo Olu going round Lagos to ask for land documents. Wike is too big to be doing that in Abuja.

If that guy had shifted for Wike, he would have held a conference, highlighting how he is stopping illegal lands in Abuja.

Sadly, it backfired

Dey play. Even during military rule when soldiers were controlling the streets, I have seen a big man come out of his car at checkpoint and rake for the soldiers and none of them moved a muscle, they even started walking away as he asked them to identify themselves. This is 1998.

Una dey overrate military men most of whom will do boy boy for Politicians for crumbs. I am not talking Danjuma them, I am talking Major Generals and Leuitenant Generals. This officer is lucky cameras were rolling, if it happened indoors, he would have collected hot slap from Wike.
Ibime, there's nowhere in the Niger Delta a Major General will be slapped by anyone. In this same Rivers State? Whoever does that will be dead in an instant!

There's no situation on Earth Wike will have slapped a Major General without Port Harcourt being razed down in an instant before calm returns.

Port Harcourt where under Amaechi in the height of the militancy era, soldiers were princes and one wrong look or even a wrong hairstyle can get you locked up?

Amaechi was always intervening and suing for peace and the Navy and Army held sway.

Not even in Wike's wildest dreams will he have dared. During Covid, he ordered no movement and even harassed PHEDC boss, but the Military defied him and he didn't cough.

If that officer had shifted for Wike his military career would have been in jeopardy. Last military command was for you not to move ground but then you move ground under threat from a civilian.

The people who sent him can retire him tomorrow for a thousand reasons not directly linked to this issue if they want. Wike can only beg/ask those people to retire him. He does not hold the man's destiny in his hands like those that sent him.

That guy was really fighting for his future.

If Wike had gained access, the officer's next promotion will come in 20 years.

I just feel people are taking it out on the wrong person. The discussion should be on the Land; Is the person supposed to be there, or Wike wan grab am as Omonile?

But that was exactly what he did. He already sent officials twice and they were chased away which was why he went in person. I like the fact he wasn't a coward.

If Wike had slapped that ordinary lieutenant yesterday, the lieutenant would have been unable to control his korofo. It was clear how much he was struggling to hold them back, if you come add slap there anything fit happen.

Unless you slap the major general in private. If you slap him in front of his boys even the general won't be able to save you. Boys that already see civilians as micro-organisms.

Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 8:24am On Nov 12, 2025
The Army and Navy use to raid and raze down whole communities from Boguma and all other creek areas while as Governors, Wike and Amaechi watched on helplessly.

They arrested at will and whole communities use to evacuate when a Naval officer tells them "wait and see" after confrontations. What did Wike do? Jack!

He was allegedly the kingpin of militants and these militants had illegal oil bunkering and refining businesses. They were bombed and harassed at will and despite pleas to the Emperor, he couldn't do jack.

Wike held sway in Rivers but he was smart enough to avoid confrontations with the Military, especially the Navy.

Don't make these folks here think he was more powerful than he was.

Only military authority or proper chain of command directive could have moved that officer. Nothing concern am with who get document or who get C of O or who get illegal construction. That is above his pay grade.

Junior officers don't second guess their superiors. It is not a democracy or a debating society. People should direct any questions at the retired admiral and the other serving generals who are developing the land.

So the Naval officer's father is actually a General in the Nigerian army and former spokesperson of Nigerian Army?
