SisterAnn:How can someone be invited to come and help at his own Job? When they were "in service" did they need any government invitation to do their Job? Stop bantering on semantics...it's either they are in service or they are not.. |

buygala:Retired service chiefs are entitled to an ADC for life. The question is whether this officer is his ADC. However as I have said, irrespective of whether he is his ADC or not, he has no right using him to engage in illegal acts. |

buygala:You mean the young officer not accepting that he was a fool as Wike insisted? |

buygala:Also ask yourself this question,, the president is called Commander in Chief of what? Is he not the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces?? Is it Mr president that directed the minister to revoke the land or the minister was acting on his own directives? If not for selfish interest, why not settle the matter in the office with the retired general rather than taking your whole entourage to go and be insulted in front of live cameras. |

buygala:so a minister using derogatory word to a citizen and officer at that is not mutinous abi..una go just come dey whitewash everythng all for politics sake, defending those that dont even give a damn abut you and will throw you under the bus for their own survival... in a sane clime the discussion wont even about order or no ordr, but about a minister shouting and cursing in public..he should sacked or made to resign..a minister is suppose to be a role model for leadership not agbero but u lot wont know but defend absurdity everywehre..make una go sitdwon abeg |

Daniboygeorge22:Wike was at that land as FCT Minister duly appointed by the Commander-in-Chief, until proven otherwise ...Last I checked the President who appointed him hasn't disowned his actions as FCT Minister or sacked him from that office... It's now up to you to show us that the Minister was acting "on his own directives" as you claim |

IamAsiri:If the Commander-in-Chief who Wike was representing had called him a fool, he would have also talked back at him? His seniors in the armed forces say far worse to him, and dem no born im papa well to respond...If it's not see finish, where did he get the guts to respond to a Commander-in-Chief's representative? |
| Re: Can a Serving or Retired Officer Countermand the President’s Representative? by buygala(op): 11:46am On Nov 12, 2025 |
hegelian:That officer's seniors in the armed forces call him and treat him far worse than a fool, and he dare not respond ... But he has the temerity to retort to an extant Minister acting directly under the authority of the Commander-in-Chief..That is same as retorting directly to the Commander-in-Chief... Whether Wike had to call him a fool or not is irrelevant at this point...the question is if Tinubu who Wike was representing had been the one who called him a fool, would he have had the guts to retort? You and your fellow armed forces sympathizers should have some shame .. Even if Wike had abused his mother, he dare not respond to him....An officer one rank above him in the military will tell him far Worse and he must even salute to collect such insult... .All he can do is take up his complaint up the proper channels, if wetin Wike talk vex am |

buygala:There is Chain of command in the military. Wike should have gotten the name of the commanding officer of the Naval personnel and spoken to the commanding officer not directly to the Naval officer. |

MarketDispatch:Chain of command you say? What was "Chain of command" doing on a land that's not a military installation or subject of national security? Was there an ISIS attack going on there that necessitated Chain of command being there? |

buygala:The commander in chief's representative does not have the right to command a soldier. Only the commander in chief has that right. |

buygala:Mr man, he doesn't report to Wike. His immediate boss has more control over him than Wike. And, moreover, Wike's choice of words showed that he was power-drunk. You can decide to disgrace the Navy uniform if you were in his shoes but he has decided not to. He didn't act like a fool -- he tried his very best to respect the Minister, up until that oversabi policeman opened his mouth to deride him, which he would not accept. |

buygala:Preventing FCT officials from demolishing a property without a valid court order is very correct and a commendable action. It is illegal for an FCT Minister to revoke a land and then reallocate the land to another individual, the law clearly stated that the government can only revoke and reallocate a land when the land is to be used for public interest like building schools, hospitals and others. Do you know two bulldozers were there yesterday ? Do you know that the issue has been lingering for long and the FCT minister has refused to approach the court ? We should not allow our political affiliations influence our sense of reasoning. #copied. I rest my case here |

buygala:Una dey see the kind people we live together with.. How can a country move forward with this kind of people.. People that have sold their soul so much that all they think about is partisanship.. Defending absurdity everywhere.. Just imagine a supposedly sane human defending a public disgrace of a minister.. Shior |

buygala:MY SENTIMENTS EXACTLY! You speak my mind my bro. Someone retired giving standing order to someone in service to counter the President's personally appointed servant!!! I say, if they don't do something and fast, like next week, MORE AND MORE SUCH WILL HAPPEN.....THE IMPUNITY OF BUHARI REGIME CAN WEAR A NEW MASK AND GROW HYDRA-SNAKES ON IT'S HEAD, even resulting in mutiny and even C0*ps!!! >>>>>>Do something to the retired vice admiral, to the Lt, and also to minister Wike <<<<<< |
