Reuters, citing European and American sources: The likelihood of a de facto division of Gaza into two areas is increasing amid the low chances of implementing the second phase of the Trump Plan. According to Reuters, the chances are growing that the “yellow line” will effectively become the border of the Gaza Strip in the coming years, due to Hamas’s refusal to disarm on one hand, and Israel’s refusal to accept Palestinian Authority presence in the Strip on the other. The assessment is that the deadlock between the sides will prevent implementation of the second phase of the Trump Plan, leading to reconstruction efforts taking place only within the areas west of the yellow line — outside the territory under Hamas control.
