Poverty Not Our Milestone — Tinubu by Fareke(op): 10:30pm On Nov 12, 2025
President Bola Tinubu has assured Nigerians that the country will overcome its current economic challenges.

The President made the statement on Wednesday in Abuja at the Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE Conference.

According to him, poverty would not define Nigeria’s future.

“We may be poor; poverty is not going to be our milestone. We are going to come out of it,” he said.

Tinubu further stated that, although the reforms his administration had undertaken were challenging, they were designed to place Nigeria’s economy on a strong and enduring footing.

He maintained that every stakeholder, especially the media, has a role to play in improving the country.

Words like these sound good, but people can’t feed their families with promises. We need policies that bring immediate results, not endless reassurance.

Just like many of you praised Buhari’s leadership while he was in power, but the moment he left, his administration suddenly became the worst in your eyes.

FG should sit up! Those around the president have sinister motives by not telling him the truth….,

Push for change vigorously and the people will revolt……48 laws of power

He needs to thread carefully, there’s growing discontent among the masses . This administration is the definition of real capitalism….the divide between the rich & the poor is now unimaginable

There’s no social safety net for the masses while governors are been lured with#250B as alleged,if true real revolution is coming and nothing will stop it. All arms of government are not trusted by the people. Political recklessness has a price ,AND, your biggest talent can become a liability…you play politics with EVERYTHING!

Lol. Tales by moonlight. After you intentionally pushed millions into poverty, you're coming to speak English even you don't understand.

The balablu master of blabbing is here again with words that are not synced with his record in government since 1999.

If he doesn’t impoverish people and deprive them of education then how will he be able to buy votes from them in his quest for power, like the Stalin Stockholm Syndrome example of a bloodied chicken huh

The eyesore on Bourdillon Road
2nd January 2025

Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.

If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.

That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious account was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.

…Says Buhari doesn’t have my kind of money

However, Buhari doesn’t have the kind of money I can steal neither does he have the money I can collect. He doesn’t even have the money for Lagos votes. So, whatever I promise, it’s for real and is coming from my pocket. It’s not until I go to Alausa before I get money to give you.”

Addressing APC supporters on the need to deliver votes, Tinubu said handsome cash rewards await those who can deliver votes for the party.

He said he would not make mistakes of the past where people would collect money in advance and not deliver on election day.

Tinubu added, “Those of you that say you come to Bourdillon for mobilisation, it is mobilisation that we are doing here or don’t you understand? Definitely, if you know people in your neighbourhood, our members, how we used to do.

The rate of poverty in this country currently is alarming, many goes to bed hungry.

I do not know the work Mr President is actually doing everyday by day to solve problems.

When you gatherd groups of selfish people around you, who won't tell you the bitter truth but keep sugar coating every single facts. That's the result

Assuming all the borrowed money in directly pushed to the citizens, things would have improved but collect and share
