Flets:Nay and nay.... Discerning international watchers know that it's the usual Trump muscle flexing. Nigeria has remained relatively passive in all his noise. Tariff war didn't hit Nigeria. Nigeria refused to be dumping ground for his prisoners. In his visa revocation and immigrant repatriation Nigeria has relatively be calm. China has a major hold on Nigerian economy. Nigeria is closer to brics and Asian blocks right now. He's aware of the gradual turn around and direction of the Nigerian economy. America is seriously losing their grip on Nigeria and Africa. Trump's lowest hanging fruit is what he's doing. Is he thinking about evading Nigeria....far from it. America particularly Trump doesn't do charity operation. What is his target? Draw Nigeria closer through the present blackmail. He's not going to give Nigeria anything free but we must pay for them. We should expect stoppage of aid. He has stopped some already still Nigeria didn't shake. As for the performance of our Euro bonds, I'm very happy. It's a recognition of positive signals coming from Nigerian economy. In finance and economics sentiment has no place. |

Streetinvestor2:You Statements is so watery and irritating because you don't understand the context in a deep form. Some of you are worse enemies of this Country with your Negative reasons because if a Bond is oversubscribe is due to: • Confidence in the Country - both internally and • By External people, since Investors is not limited to one geographical location, but spread all over the world 🌎. •Our Banking Institution are more reliable than ever before. • those putting their Money on the investment have absolute confidence on the Economy and her Managers( the govt. • it also shows the Country is making Progress as those Investors See A Rebound 🪃 in the Country, than being Short Sighted and with Data on what is being provided, more Money will eventually be available for the Economy. |

MT:Oga Eurobond is another format of debt. It is still institutional investors that are buying this. There is no dawn of an era, stop saying nonsense. |

DeLaRue:Oga you know nothing. Nigeria is already classed as high risk country, so no real investor will come to establish a business, they will rather go to Ghana or Kenya to do that. Our situation only encourage portfolio investments because of the high risk high returns situation in our money market. |

hafeeanubasy:Definitely because of hot money that is already in the market. Nigeria is only fit for portfolio investment, our high risk taking can never bring real investments that lead to job creation and productivity. |

Irony1:Are we the only country thriving and facing insecurity? The US had mass shooting in all 50 states in 2025 alone, and if I go by your rhetoric, it means they are not doing anything right? Are we on same page? Hello! |

Vision101:Trump this and that but you gladly ignored the premise of the whole situation. Insecurity and the growing Jihadist movement. The lives being needlessly lost on a daily basis. The hapless folks that are not privileged to enjoy your high wire economics. That is what 'the other's part of Nigeria is concerned about. Do the folks who give you this money not enjoy both peace and prosperity. Are both mutually exclusive. Was both not promised by this government. So why is one more important than the other. |

HacheNoire:I agree. The epidemic of gun violence in the US is self inflicted. It is caused by loose gun ownership laws. Just as the epidemic of sectarian and religious violence in Nigeria is self inflicted. Caused by loose secularism and anti sectarian laws. The big difference however is the impact on society, on the economic wellbeing of it's victims and the destruction of livelihoods of millions in rural areas. There are no camps for the displaced in the US. There are no people forced to leave their lands and sources of livelihoods. There are no people paying ransoms in humongous sums or taxes to non state institutions. The big difference is that every shooter there is either dead, or in jail awaiting trial and certain death. Here they are still active, still growing, getting emboldened every passing day and slowly eating away at the authority of government at all levels. This should be concerning for you economists who do long term analysis. |

Typing:Nigeria borrowed some money from people and companies around the world by selling something called Eurobonds. Lots of investors wanted to buy these bonds, they offered about $13 billion, even though Nigeria only wanted $2.35 billion. That means many people trusted Nigeria and believed it would use the money wisely and pay it back. The money Nigeria gets will help the government pay for important things next year, like schools, roads, and hospitals. People from many countries, like the UK, the U.S., Europe, and Asia, bought these bonds. Some Nigerians bought them too, showing they believe in the government’s plans to make the country better. The President and finance leaders said they are happy because this shows that the world has confidence in Nigeria |
