all Nigeria will celebrate him , including southeasterners whose loved ones

Good observation. His place to one of the Annang communities is less than 20 mins drive . Most places in Nigeria are just divided by arbitrary state lines. Their genealogy are usually linked. Umuahia in Abia state where he comes from and Ikot Ekpene / Abak In Akwa Ibom state share common boundary. The whole of that area is generally influenced by the ukpabio/ Aro culture. An ancient kingdom with history of bravery, conquest and valor.
