Look, I used to live in the barracks, all the blabla you just said is inconsequential. What matters is that in every barrack what the military personnel saw was a corrupt political class disrespecting the military. Each Nigerian soldier, retired or actif is fuming right now.

This reminds me of the prelude to the Gideon Orka coup. Soldiers value honour in a way most civilians in Nigeria might not understand. These are people who basically die for their honour and their oath.

Fct minister, whom has never been shot at in his life, needs to show more respect for people who put themselves in the line of fire between civilians and terrorists. When was the last time the fct minister or president or any politician for that matter went into the trenches and fought against boko haram ?

If I were to be that young officer, I would have ordered the minister's entourage to not get up to 1 metre near me and my men would have stood in fighting position aiming their guns at the Entourage. If you want to have a military, you should learn how it works. Being a minister doesn't mean you can give orders to soldiers and officers. You need to follow the chain of command.

Disrespecting a soldier or an officer is not permitted even for the president.

You don't understand the military and you don't understand democracy. In a democracy, ministers and presidents work for the people, they are not above the people, they are under the people, so they are not entitled to "who are you" attacks, nor to calling an officer "a fool".
