These people don't realize that the fct minister is a very powerful position he's the one in charge of all the lands there.

They are disrespecting him because he is a southerner nothing more.
So because he is in charge of lands means he should be seizing people lands, demolishing people properties & grabbing lands.

Wike spoke with CDS and CNS. They both advised him not to go there. He should have even called the minister of Defence too but because he sees himself as the super minister, he felt how can he be calling his ‘junior minister’ .
If the military should even make attempt to discipline Yerima, under 2 months, the military discipline will collapse.
My question is what is even a lawful order? When Wike used policemen to snatch ballot boxes, were those lawful orders?
Two direct questions to you and who support your view.

1. Is Nigeria a democratic country or one of military dictatorship?

2. Should the military be involved in local land disputes?

Direct questions require direct answers.

What vexed Wike was when the officer said "I have integrity" which Wike doesn't have, Baba had to flair up and started saying nonsense that doesn't even move the gallant officer grin

Wike was like; how can you have integrity that I don't have grin
😂😂😂😂

Wike is beginning to make fct minister look like land allocation & reallocation minister does he has office in charge of land matter.
But is that not his office? He is the final authority on land in the FCT and we all know that a tremendous amount of corruption in land administration has gone on in the past. He is doing his job.

I don't think Lt Commander Yerima did any wrong in putting his hands in his pocket while the Minister was on phone. After all the man in blue suit (may be a DSS personnel or aide to the Minister) beside the military man also put his hands in his pocket as well.

Falana just said it that no minister or governor has constitutional power to demolish any building. And please hail the officer for restraint despite repeated abuses he never insulted Wike back. Wike that denied DSS from arresting Justice Liman Mohammed. Revoke people's land and give it to his father, children and allies
Even Aunty Deborah Olorunlogbon demolished Peter Obi’s property in Lagos
after getting court order

If Yerima is subjected to any form of discipline then the military have belittled themselves. They should make sure that nothing happens to that well trained naval officer, Yerima. Wike should be sacked instead for poor conduct.

No minister or governor can order even a private in the military much more of a Captain equivalent in the Army that's why only the Nigerian president is constitutionally addressed as "President and Commander in chief of the Armed forces" even Nigerian vice president is constitutionally addressed "Vice president" without being called "Vice commander in chief of the Armed forces" so constitutionally Nigerian president is the only civilian that can order the military
The same "private in the military" that are ordered around and used as human shields and fashion accessories by yahoo boys, drug dealers and all manner of money miss road elements?

We play too much in this country.

Wike's approach wasn't okay.

How the Zamfara man became the minister of Defense is a Nigerian Miracle.
A man accused of funding terrorism in this very country is still the one supervising our defense.
I've seen retired top ranking military officers grabbing lands and no one coughed about it.
What a shame of a country we have.

Questioning the Culture of Disrespect Toward Public Officials

It is difficult to comprehend how some individuals can celebrate or ignore acts of blatant disrespect toward a Minister of the Federal Republic. The office of a minister represents the authority of the federal government and, by extension, the President. Such disregard for due process and constituted authority undermines not only the individual in office but also the institutions they represent.

One must ask: under what military or administrative provision does a naval officer—retired or otherwise—assume the role of a guide in facilitating an illegal land purchase? This act, by every legal and ethical standard, is questionable and unacceptable.

Even more concerning is the attitude of the superior officer, who, after being presented with clear facts about the illegality of the land transaction, appeared reluctant to engage directly with the Minister on the matter. Such conduct raises serious questions about discipline, accountability, and respect for civil authority.

At this point, Nigerians must reflect deeply. Are we responding to these issues with reason and fairness, or are we allowing emotions and biases to cloud our judgment? Respect for lawful authority remains a cornerstone of order and governance, and it must not be compromised for sentiment or convenience.

Respect begets respect. It is earned.

The Minister, if he had respect for the rule of law, had no business at the site.
He didn't respect his office.
He didn't respect his delegation of authority to let his directors handle this administrative issue.
He didn't respect his security (I saw him pushing them aside when their first duty is to protect him. He wanted to teach them their job. Even Trump respects the security around him).
He did not respect the officers who put their lives on the line to serve Nigerians.

Talmabout respect. 😒😏

How weird. Many of you dont know the simple protocol of these things. Every Service Chief (and all top tier officers such as Generals by the way) is given a detachment of guards for life, after retirement, for the protection of themselves, their families and their assets. The actions of those guards are supervised by serving senior officers. This is standard protocol.

This kind of thing makes one tired. How can anyone seriously ask how Wike has abused his position in this country?
Anyway, people will ask anything.

These Northerner have made it a Northern affair to protect the Naval officer .
If your superior gave you an illegal order , there is no law in the military that say you must obey blindly.
Moreover, this is a democracy not military regime . Why should a the military investigate a civil matter ?
These people are just using Nigeria to do padi padi government

Thank you for that picture. I am happy to read that inspects is different from demolish. Based on what we have read about this case, they already had a bulldozer on ground.

Was the Minister's work to get into the ground and start bulldozing? Is it at the point of entry or that location Wike will start inspecting papers? Is he saying the directors are not doing their work? Okay, let's say the directors were scared away by military or miscreants, is it his job to go on site to go and clear ground?

Rebuker:
Summary:

The FCDA has withdrawn its bulldozers from the disputed Gaduwa land linked to retired Naval Chief, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo, just a day after FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s heated confrontation with military officers at the same site. Witnesses say Wike’s team quietly left as bystanders booed and chanted “Wike, shame on you!” — a moment many see as a major setback for the Minister following the viral clash where a naval officer boldly told him, “No sir, I am not a fool. I am an officer, and I have integrity.”
